Very disappointed with the experience. Went out to dinner with my husband. We were first sat side by side instead of across from each other because of how over crowded the entire restaurant was. We eventually were moved to a booth. Then it took awhile to get service because we were sat in a section that didnât have a server. On a positive note, our server was fantastic and we donât blame any part of our bad experience on him. We finally got waited on, placed our order and waited for our meals to arrive. We received our drinks and bread first. It took roughly 15 to 20 minutes for our advertiser to come out. Then it took another 20 to 25 minutes to get our side salad. The side salad clearly was sitting for a while because our croutons were soggy. Part of my husbandâs salad had bad lettuce in it. After roughly another 30 minute wait, we finally got our main course. When we finally got our main course, I ordered the Floâs Fillet with corn and my husband ordered the exact same thing except he had a side of the loaded baked potato. After waiting that long, we were excited to eat our dinner and pretty hungry. Suddenly, the two of us both got a whiff of our steaks and noticed they smelled like ammonia. My husband didnât notice the smell immediately and unfortunately eight several bites of his steak. Moments later, he felt sick to a stomach and ran to the toilet and got sick. We made the complaint to a woman server whom I can only imagine was some sort of manager or assistant manager. She kept insisting that him getting sick wasnât from the food and that it was from something he ate earlier. My husband and I didnât have anything for lunch that day because we had a big breakfast early in the morning. Our meal was complementary because of the experience with the bad meat. The entire experience was disappointing and not very enjoyable because of how crowded it was. As I said before our server was great and very apologetic for the experience. We donât blame the server for anything. He did his job and did a very good job. As for the rest of the experience, it ruined...
Read moreI went to dinner on Saturday 08/19/2023 at the fort lauderdale location. This was my second time trying out longhorn in over 13 years. The first time I tried longhorn was at the same location. I didn't enjoy my first experience, in my opinion the quality of the food was not what I expected. My second time trying longhorn the food was a lot better then expected, but this time I had a very aggressive and rude server named Porchia with an island accent as my . She was very blunt toned and rather then me feeling that I was getting served at a restaurant; it felt more like being served at someone's kitchen table. She rarely came around, three different employees were bringing our food, which caused me to ask each one for refills on drinks and more bread. (including Porchia who didn't introduce her name until after we finished eating our apps and ordered our entrees) eventually someone came with a refill, but the bread never came. When I asked Porchia was the bread coming, she immediately start to yell and argue with me that I didn't ask her for bread. I told her I did, including the several people that were helping her with her table and she continued to yell and tell me that I didn't ask her for a refill or bread. She was causing a scene and to keep things from escalating, I once again asked her if she could bring the bread. She is the rudest server that I've encountered in my life at any restaurant. It won't stop me from going to longhorns, but will prevent me from going to that location, and if I do choose that location and get her a a server again, I'm going to request a new one. She needs to be retrained or fired. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's experienced the negative energy of this server. She basically was calling me a liar and arguing with a customer. This is not the treatment that a customer should receive when dining in a $100+ restaurant. Fast food servers who get paid a lot less without tip have better service...
Read moreLonghorn is our family's favorite chain restaurant. Pros: Our server, Ari, was fantastic. She was on point with our group of eight. Excellent service and good communication. Cons: Our go-to drink of choice is the perfect Margarita, but these were terrible tonight. Our family enjoys Longhorn in both Florida and New York because they consistently provide excellent drinks, food, and service. The female manager tonight had the audacity to tell us that the mix they use is watered down and only occurs on "long pours," but we also had regular sized drinks that were all the same. The fact that she stood there and tried to debate us on their mix and drinks when we're regulars to the establishment is just poor service. We've never had this happen at this or any other Longhorn location. Again, this is our go to drink every time. She did offer to make us the same "watered-down" beverages from the mix. I asked her to bring us a shot to add to the watered-down drinks, and she agreed as long as we paid for them. $8.29 per shot?? I left it alone and packed my food to go. She should have simply offered us the new drinks, improved them, and included the shot for free. I don't need anything for free, but that is the proper service you should provide as an establishment manager. I will have to reconsider visiting this location based solely on her response. Our family's Mother's Day celebration just wasn't that special. But thank you Ari,...
