The seafood boil was fairly standard and reasonable - the only noteworthy part of it was the crab legs - sweet, succulent and fresh - were particularly good though unfortunately I had learn the hard way that it’s not for me. Battling a decapod crustacean through gloves and a crab mallet is more work than what I wanted to do considering I was about to drop a hundo and a half on lunch.
Sometimes I just want to eat, not be a part time employee at the dining table prying open crabs.
The rest of the elements - the shrimp, potato, corn and hard boiled egg - are exactly how you’d imagine it to be. For what it’s worth the shrimp either tasted fresh or if it was not, I didn’t know because the “juicy” sauce was full of flavor. Spicy, savory quite satisfying.
The chicken wings were about as good as a deadbeat uncle and the popcorn shrimp was worse than a red headed step child. Coming to think of it, I’d rather pick the uncle and the red head over the thoroughly forgettable appetizers.
Thank you Diet Coke for helping me wash down the drier than the Gobi Desert wings and the popcorn shrimp straight from the depths of hell. I needed three refills.
Dessert - given the above experience they did save us money by convincing us not to order any. They get an inadvertent well earned star for that.
The server who waited on us was actually very accommodating, pleasant and spot on. The only bright spot along with the crab legs in an otherwise forgettable...
Read moreThe night before traveling for my father-in-law's funeral 12 of us decided to meet at this location, because the one in Pembroke Pines is so amazing, but further away from some of our guests. After being seated for over an hour, they only brought one of the 9 cocktails ordered, never gave us utensils, and decided to bring a few cups of water along with this disgusting display of 6 oysters swimming in ice water! No plates, lemons, cocktail sauce, utensils etc, for said oysters... Then he got fighting mad, when my bereft husband began to complain that the service here is not good! Once the server reached back like he was going to hit someone because he was sooo offended, the entire table of 9 behind us, who have also been there for 30 minutes trying to celebrate a birthday, with nothing on the table, got up and left so quickly we barely heard the door close behind them. People depend on restaurants in times of hunger, celebrations, and grief. We traveled from Panama Central America to Ft Lauderdale knowing that the Juicy Crab would be a great meal at a sad time, and we couldn't have been more wrong! Later we went next door to LongHorn Steakhouse, where the server Tarra took excellent care of us, and the other group that left the Juicy Crab before us. Yeah they were there! Juicy Crab Pembroke Pines is Fantastic! Go...
Read moreOur server Jesus was kind and patient. He really worked hard making sure we had everything we needed, but unfortunately, the Food left us with high blood pressure. The catfish was so greasy that the grease was laying in the bottom of the basket the seafood boil was extremely salty and when I got my cluster of Dungeness crab , it had one leg missing when I asked about it, the manager told my waiter it goes by the weight after the waiter went back to the manager again telling him, I said in the menu says a cluster, and I expect a full cluster then my waiter went back to the manager the third time, and the manager finally sent one leg over. I felt it to be very, very unprofessional. It would’ve been nice if the manager came over and said something to us. This is my second attempt going there, the first time I was extremely salty too. I was thinking that maybe it was just a one time thing, but unfortunately, I will not be going back but I want to give credit to our waiter who really was very kind. Patient and...
