The is one of the absolute Worst places for customer service!🤬. For the past few days,I have stopped by there, I will not go back again. Day1 not that bad except for the quality of the food. Ordered a house Special Steak Sandwich, I am very clear when I say “Dry” No Sauce. Well came drenched inane punk mess. The pastries that were ordered two were outstanding which was their brownie which is more of a bonbon than a brownie, and a chocolate tart of some type. The third was tres leches this is a very simple dessert and one of my favorites. Everybody has their own recipes which is wonderful because there’s all different tastes. This taste like it had been soaked in wrong and also smelled of rum. Which if that’s the way you’re making it is fine but you should say that I served it after dinner to my guest when they took one bite of it it was spit out I would’ve never serve something that taste like that to a recovering alcoholic. We opted to have the coffee buns that I got from there with coffee instead of that. Only to find the bottoms so burnt it was an edible. Day two and three are basically the same when inside didn’t even say anything about the bird pastries or what not sometimes you win sometimes you lose. Both days I walked out after the first day of standing there waiting to order for over five minutes and having them take two people ahead of me I left. They three did have a little bit a difference we ordered our food waiting for it we were going to get some pastries to go back home with us because all in all they were good we knew which had a bad taste of rum. The food was pretty much done and she still have not gotten up to get the pastries and couldn’t be bothered to do it upon asking what a couple of them were because we didn’t know the biggest attitude came out and she won’t even let you talk. Will not go back there will not repeat horrible horrible, I was an executive chef for over 10 years you do not serve items that are made with with liquor that are not cooked off so that actually had alcohol content to it and should not have been served without notification. No doubt my mind as a child wouldn’t eat that it would’ve have made him tipsy. Like I said the worst thing about it was the customer service there. TERRIBLE SERVICE! WORST IN MY LIFE! I cannot understate how rude the older woman behind the counter was. The store has posted hours from 7:30am to 6:30pm. I got there at 3:00pm and they were wrapping up and closing everything and refusing new orders (without any special hours posted on the door or website). They said I should have called first, well I called several times and no one answered the phone. I didn't make a big deal but when I asked at what time I should come back the next day in the morning, the young woman said 8:30am only for the older RUDE woman to come and scold her in front of us to tell her it was 9:00am (mind you, their hours online and at the door say 7:30am). The older women were incredibly rude, unwilling to sell or give useful information, and patronizing to the young woman who was the only one trying to help and trying to be nice. Needless to say I will not be coming back to this establishment. The food is mediocre at best, the service is horrible and it's a miracle they continue in business with that attitude AND during COVID times when so many businesses are struggling. Someone needs to check their priorities and address their staff. I will not be coming here ever and will tell every person I know to avoid this place unless they want to be treated as an inconvenience instead of like a paying customer. I'd give Zero...

A quick breakdown.

Customer service - Ordered lunch for $35. The harassed looking manager charged us a happy total of $50. When we politely pointed out the “mistake” there was a bit of Hollywood before he announced a grand total of 45. Lol. I decided to give him another chance before asking him to shove the empanadas we ordered up an orifice of his that shall go unnamed. He reluctantly announced a correct total of $35 looking even more harassed and not looking happy. 😄

The place: Pretty airy, spacious, light and put together fairly well in a nice plaza.

The food: Empanadas - we tried both the chicken and carne. Both were delicious as was the meat pie. The shredded chicken platter and the grilled pork with onions platter were both very good and priced at about 10 bucks and change each was fairly well worth the money. Of course that was before the attempted rip off, lol.

This place should have been an easy 4 or 5 but the blatant half as**d rip off effort and the poor cover up acting job by the manager or owner was a sad stinker of an experience. I mean times are hard but do not try to cover up the difference by preying on...
