The Barefoot Mailman — Hotel in Ocean City

The most honest and sincere review you'll ever read... My dog and I have driven in / through 29 states in the last 5 months. Lifes been a real b1tch to me during this time and it really don't take much to set me off and along the way we've stayed in dozens of places and seen / heard just about everything, Hilton or Hotel 6, most were just okay, kept us dry and warm. BUT then we stumble across The Barefoot Mailman! Holy cows! The facility is extraordinarily clean, easy to navigate, right on the beach, super pet friendly, convenient to everything, and the views were amazing! But even above and beyond all of that was the staff. I seriously don't know how they gathered so many amazing people in one place., and believe me I lost faith in mankind long ago. But from the people at the front desk to the people making their rounds every morning after guests check out, every single one just absolutely blew my mind! I hated to leave this place not only for being an amazing facility, but those employees made it extremely difficult to drive away. I didn't want to come off creepy so I kept my feelings contained, which is typically not me, but I honestly felt like I really could have made life long friends with all of them. They restored my faith in mankind and human compassion which I gave up on long ago thinking it's just a different world... But then Pugsley and I stumble across the Barefoot Mailman.|This place and people did more for me then any words in any review could ever express. I understand that you just can't please everybody, but if you go here and don't leave feeling like you found a secret heaven on earth (and I'm not so religious these days), then you better look in the mirror at yourself because you won't find...

It's "All Hands (and Feet) On Deck" at The Barefoot Mailman to Make Your Stay as Enjoyable as Possible:

"The Story of the Barefoot Mailman", by David Castello, states that, "...in 1885, there was a need for US Postal Service in South Florida," which was THE primary method of communication at the time days.

These "barefoot mailman" went ABOVE & BEYOND to deliver mail to the inhabitants between Lake Worth and Biscayne Bay who were in need of communication.

Just like the "tireless hardy souls" who trudged 80 miles each way to get the job done, the ladies at the Barefoot Mailman Motel GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible:

Judy and Shameke work tirelessly to keep your room welcoming, clean, and comfortable. They always ask, "How's everything?...Can I get you anything?" and "Please let me know if you need anything"

From greeting guests to addressing any concerns, Binnie, Ty, & Mira navigate the duties at the Front Desk with class, charm, and patience.

Stephanie, the General Manager leads by example and does whatever is necessary so that you enjoy your stay:

I have observed her assume the role of housekeeper, front desk, and any role that is necessary to keep things going smoothly!
