I don’t normally leave reviews and sorry it’s long. We were excited to try this restaurant and was looking for a good seafood place. This is our first time to Ocean City and the restaurant is close to where we are staying and looked like nice atmosphere.

Positives first. We were a party of 5 and they seated us quickly on a Saturday night we had to sit outside which was okay but did get cold and pretty dark. Our waitress was friendly and took our order quickly.

Where it went down hill. I ordered a pina colada and there was a solid ice chunk in the middle, there had zero alcohol taste or smell. Had to ask the waitress to make sure it wasn’t a Virgin. (We had inquired about that before so thought maybe there was a mixup) she assured me it wasn’t but, it was pretty awful just tasted like straight mixer. - should have sent back but since this was our only dinner out just let it go.

Them came dinner ordering. A lot of the seafood entree options were all MP when discussing she told us the prices of what we ordered. We ordered the calamari, a seafood steamer, steak and lobster asked to add a small crab cake because my son wanted to try the lobster and wanted to make sure had enough food in case he stole it. Was not given price and there was nothing on the menu. Also ordered 2 smash burgers and kids chicken fingers.

The calamari was excellent. The burgers, chicken tenders and seafood everyone enjoyed. BUT when the steak and lobster, and crab cake came out I was shocked.

The steak was a small thin square served on a small crostini. Maybe the length of my pinkie. I know it said it is a Petite filet but that was crazy small must have gotten 10 of them off of one steak. I thought it was some sort of mistake so asked the waitress and she said oh yeah they are tiny not 3oz. that’s why I told you medium rare might be better since it is difficult get the right temperature. I was never told it would be 3 ounces I would never have ordered it if I had known.

She apologized and said she could just make a new one but it would be the same size. So what is the point?? And nothing else had lobster so that water whole point of ordering it. So again I just dealt with it. Then came the check. Almost $300! Way too expensive for what we got. The crab cake I asked to add was $25! I was never told that. And I was informed that because we had 5 people we are a large party so gratuity of 20% was already added. Really?? Large parties have always been 6+ We always leave 20% tip but was annoyed that we weren’t given the choice. So a special dinner out ended up souring our vacation.

So if you eat here ask lots of questions and make sure you know what you are...

We were in from out of town and looking for a good dinner to help celebrate the 4th of July. We had 11 in our party. Searched the web and found Ocean 13. We showed up at the hostess stand at 7:10pm. The next open slot for a party of our size was 8:00pm and we accepted. We returned to the hostess station at 8 and were seated shortly after. We were seated near the piano bar inside which provided some entertainment for our upcoming long wait. The restaurant had many open tables inside so that definitely did not contribute to the delay in receiving our food. The waitress took our drink order and then our food. They were out of mashed potatoes and had to substitute the rice. After 45 minutes, the salads finally came out. 3 of us ordered the crab soup. We were told our soup was taking longer as they were making some. Finally after about an hour, the soup was brought out and we were told that it was not right and were recommended to not eat it and it would be removed from our bill as it was very watery. More bread was bought out due to the long wait for our food. We asked how much longer as we wanted to watch the fireworks on the beach. Our waitress who by the way was very helpful the entire evening said our food would most likely not be out by 9:30. We asked if we could move our party outside so we could see the fireworks while we waited. We were able to move outside, thanks to the waitress and serving staff. While waiting again outside, we were told that they now were out of rice but they made more mashed potatoes and would substitute the potatoes for anyone that ordered rice. Finally after over an hour and a half wait, our food arrived. We were highly disappointed. The seafood medley fettuccine was a very small portion for any adult, had over cooked noodles and barely any seafood. The seafood scampi only had a couple pieces of seafood. Corn on the cob was served without butter, the French fries were cold and soggy. Needless to say we paid over $400 for sub par food. We would have been better off to go order a pizza which we had to do as 3 people in our party couldn't even eat their meals. Overall I would say that this restaurant is not worth the money charged for the quality and quantity of...

It’s a shame I had a horrible experience here. It seemed like a very nice place and the food LOOKED good but unfortunately I never got to find out because after waiting an hour for our food I left. I’m a single mom and work hard to make ends meet and live for the one vacation I can bring my children on. This restaurant is relatively expensive, but on vacation I want to splurge and give them a nice experience. The bill for the four of us probably would have been about 160, not including the tip. But as I sat and sat and sat and watched everyone else get food , I was told THREE times, “your order is the next one up”, “your order is being plated right now”, “I know I said your order was being plated before but now it REALLY is being is plated” and still nothing! It had been almost an hour (55 min) since we ordered and I finally got up and told the hostess I was leaving... the waiter came over and said he was sorry, had no explanation and said he’d get the manager, but I only waited around about a minute before I just left. I had WAITED LONG ENOUGH and wasted enough of the evening. I had 2 hungry grumpy teenagers that stormed off. It ruined the evening. All year I wait for these precious few days and I got robbed of a night of one because of this place. Had it been an average priced place I may have gritted my teeth and waited, but after an hour I could no longer justify paying 200$ for the dinner. I wasn’t going to pay full price when I didn’t get the same experience as everyone else around me. And clearly they will just keep lying and saying your food is coming rather than sending a manager to a table that would apologize and offer a discount or dessert. But nope nothing. Very disappointed. I can never get this evening...

Leave the kids home and head out to this place! Quoted a 30 minutes wait at 8pm on a Saturday. So we headed to the bar for a drink. This bar crowd was friendly and welcoming. Ordered the Pina colada with the dark rum float. It was good, light on the coconut heavy on the dark rum. It was about 20 a minute wait and we were taken upstairs to our table. The upstairs is very open, no dividers. The level is open to the bar below allowing some noise upstairs. Mouth to ear whispers is needed for private conversations. Ordered the bruschetta. 4 slices of crispy bread served with a heaping pile of short rib sprinkled with asiago cheese and balsamic drizzle. 1 slice was enough to please. Dinner consisted of the Tenderloin 13 and the daily special of blackened seasoned Ribeye with blackened shrimp and scallops. The Tenderloin 13 was served in a warmed skillet. It was cooked perfectly to medium rare as ordered. The asparagus was trimmed correctly and finished appropriately. The mushrooms, onions, and butter only added to the the dish. The flavors combined nicely. The ribeye special was served on a heated plate and grilled to a beautiful tender medium rare, served with blackened seasonings. The scallops and shrimp on top were cooked exactly as they should be. The scallops were cooked to a perfect medium rare, soft buttery inside with a perfect blackened crust and the shrimp was pulled from the fire at the exact right time. The asparagus spears were again trimmed and cooked perfectly enhancing the steak. My second drink was the chai bourbon. This is a spicy chai infused drink that sips well with dinner. I highly recommend this place.

Ocean 13 has amazing food for everyone, including those with dietary restrictions! I called for carryout and asked about the jerk chicken with honey mustard sauce and pineapple pico de gallo to see if it contained any gluten or dairy other than the bun. Taneisha (sp?) was friendly and helpful and told me I could substitute the wheat bun for a gluten-free one and that I could up the chips to fries, which were fried in a dedicated gluten-free fryer (music to my ears)! Everything had amazing flavor, including the gluten-free bun (the best I've ever had!). I could have eaten it by itself (and no one, absolutely no one usually actually likes gluten-free bread, LOL). It had a bit of a flakiness to it, like a biscuit. The jerk spice was the perfect amount of spice for me. I can't handle too much heat. I loved the honey mustard sauce too. They gave me extra at no charge, which I appreciated. When I went to pick up, the order was correct, with the pico on the side and the cheese omitted. The staff was super friendly and professional. They seemed excited to be working there, really nice atmosphere. The base order was $16 + $5 for the fries upcharge and gluten-free bun. My new fave place! Will definitely be back!
