I stayed here for two months. I can't rate higher than 2 stars for a variety of reasons I'll dive into- Hotel: A little bit aged. Interior is not impressive at all. Carpet hallways are ugly. The rooms are on the small side. The bed is surprisingly comfortable and the AC works well. My biggest problems are the other people who stay here. Seems like a lot of construction guys who are up early, noisy, big drinkers and smokers. They litter the patio area with cigarettes and empty Modelo bottles. They don’t clean up after themselves and the hotel doesn’t really either. Some people here clearly smoke in their rooms - no smoking policy is not enforced. There's also a lot of just gross people here that walk around the halls/common areas shirtless and barefoot. Major health concerns. They also let the tree removal companies park their huge trucks in the lot and take up 4-6 spots per truck, making parking difficult on weekends when the hotel is more booked. Noise: The walls are SO thin. When you walk down the hallway you can hear everything going on in every single room. I had a serious problem with noise from whoever was in the room above me as well. Whenever they walked around, my room would literally shake and appliances would rattle (I have videos to prove it). It was so bad it woke me up at ridiculous hours several times. Staff: The only people I will commend are the housekeeping staff because they do an excellent job cleaning the rooms regularly, and one girl who works the front desk who is nice. However the majority of the desk staff are plain rude, no interpersonal skills whatsoever, and have no interest in your wellbeing as a resident/customer. You being there is an inconvenience to them. Location: This isn't REALLY bricktown... sure it's close enough, but you can't really walk there. They have a free shuttle which is cool, but the place is set off bricktown and surrounded by highway overpasses, train tracks, and a sand/gravel facility. Not a really nice area to walk around and noisy at times. If I ever had to go back to OKC (which I hope to god I never do), I would look into staying elsewhere.

I checked into the Candlewood suites Bricktown for one night. After entering the room, I must say I was impressed. The room was lovely. The only problem I experienced there was the cockroaches. After Informing the front desk of their roach infestation that they had in the room that was given to me. As I was checking out. after reviewing my bank statement, they had to audacity to charge me for the room $93 and additional $38. I’m sorry to say this is the second time I had a bad experience at this hotel. The first time they placed me in a hotel room they had no hot water. Right next to our room that was infested with bedbugs. The second time I checked into the hotel with one of my employees the front desk Clerk threatened him with physical harm. This all happened because there was a gentleman needing medical attention myself and other guest brought the gentleman down to the front desk seeking help.. In all the clerk kept saying was, can you go back to your room? The gentleman could have died if medical attention was not given to him because he had just been released from the hospital from having a triple bypass.

Our experience there was unpleasant. Service wasn’t that great at all. We woke up to our tea cup being infested with ants. There was a trash can out in the hallway that had dead ants and maggots in it. When we told the management about it they did say they would give us a discount. But then also told us they apologized. They don’t usually put people in their ant rooms but was overbooked because of the concert so they had to book those rooms also. So they knew there was a pest problem but didn’t take care of it and put guests in it with them. Just not ok. Just a very unpleasant experience all the way around. Wldnt stay there again at all. Wld rather stay at a motel 6 if I’m being honest then there again

I am an IHG rewards member and travel quite a bit. I have stayed in many IHG hotels and rarely have complaints.

Let me lead into my review by saying the staff was exemplary in friendliness and service. I can't say enough good things about the two ladies at the registration desk who helped me. In fact, while at the desk, a homeless woman came in and asked to use the bathroom. The attendant explained that they didn't have a public bathroom, but she was kind to the woman.

It was late in the evening when we checked in - 10:00PM, I think.

We were in a King Suite and stayed two nights.

I have several issues to point out:

Upon entering our room, the kitchen floor appeared as though it was haphazardly cleaned. One of the handles on a cupboard door was broken and hanging off. Also, one of the pillow cases had a stain that upon inspection looked like wax. I simply went down to the desk and asked for new pillow cases, not saying anything about the lack of cleanliness of the kitchen as it was late.

The next morning I went to sit in the living area and noticed two, fairly large stains of what appeared to be blood on the carpet; both were the size of a quarter. One was in front of the recliner and the other in front of the sofa. They were very visible and should have been seen by housekeeping (much like the kitchen issues previously noted). I took pictures with my phone to show the front desk. In addition to the blood stains, our bathtub would not drain and we took showers in ankle deep water. Finally, we only had two bath towels in the bathroom.

I went down to the desk and explained all of the issues discussed above. After discussing the blood issues at length, the attendant assured me that it would be taken care of immediately and that our bathtub would be fixed as well. She couldn't offer us a new room as the hotel was full to capacity. For our inconvenience, I was promised full housekeeping and extra IHG points. That did not happen. They did, however, address the blood stains and the bathtub issues; I had to go back down for towels and the promised housekeeping did not happen..

If my criteria for staying in a hotel was based simply on friendliness of staff, I would definitely stay here again; however, that is not my only criteria so I don't think we will stay here again. The area is up and coming with construction going on behind the hotel and it's at the east end of Reno Ave, which is sketchy after dark. The issues we experienced could have been easily avoided had housekeeping been diligent in their job (in...

Nice hotel, in a quiet neighborhood. It's literally a minute drive from downtown. A few more minutes if you walk, but with a free shuttle service, there's no need to walk. It is next to a major highway, but to be honest, we only heard one car the whole time. And it was really "gunnin it". The room was nice and very clean! The only thing we saw out of place was a few scuffs/stains in the wall, but nothing a good scrub or fresh coat of paint couldn't fix. The TV had plenty of channels for the whole family. The kitchenette was a pleasant surprise that we didn't expect. It was fully furnished with a sink, microwave, full-size fridge and freezer, dishes, silverware, and pots and pans. Everything you'd need for an extended stay. They even loan out crockpots! The beds were SO comfortable and clean! The bathroom and shower were furnished with full-size soaps/shampoo/conditioner/body wash, which is nice if you forget yours, which we did. And you get plenty of towels already, but you only have to ask for more if needed. Major kudos to Martha and Henry! Because of these 2, we will definitely be back! We want to see more of OKC. Martha was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. She found us a room immediately and even took the time to answer questions that I had, with no rush. She offered a shuttle service to take us to and from downtown if needed so we wouldn't have to search for a parking spot. Which we were truly grateful for, the parking is truly AWFUL! Henry, the shuttle driver, was ready to take us as soon as we were ready to go. He was very nice and got us where we wanted to be in no time and made the trip enjoyable. All we had to do was call the hotel when we finished walking around downtown, and Henry was back in about 3 minutes to pick us back up. Tony was the morning front desk clerk. He was very nice and asked me about my stay. He got a glowing review. Everyone here has been so pleasant and welcoming. Thank you to everyone at this hotel for making our spur of the moment trip so great. We...
