My wife, 2 dogs and I recently stayed here for 8 weeks. I can't recommend this hotel to other long term stay guests like myself, not because of any one thing but the culmination of negative experiences we had here. Some of the those things were:
-My wife and dogs got locked in the patio, while I was at work, when her key card stopped working during bad weather. The gate to the parking lot was padlocked and no one was answering the phone at reception. We saw other guests also get locked out there during our stay. -Housekeeping was not consistent, at least not for those of us with pets in the room. We made sure our pets were secured for our weekly cleaning day and housekeeping never showed up to clean our room unless we specifically requested it on that day, despite what the signs at the front desk and in your room say. I know of at least one other guest with a dog who had the same complaint about room cleanings. -Many people smoke just outside the front door and the secondhand smoke gets pulled into the elevator shaft causing the elevators to smell. -The room had poor ventilation and no bathroom fan or ability to crack open a window. The room A/C was too loud to leave the fan running all the time. -Housekeeping would not place a normal amount of towels in the room, only two sets. If you asked the front desk for more they would give you the bare minimum unless you got very specific. -Room trash cans are too small for a long term stay hotel. We had to change our trash multiple times per day and there was no good place to put the full trash bags. -Reception was often unstaffed. There was a staff member somewhere in the building but they usually seemed to wander off, especially in the afternoons / evenings. When they were at the desk, more times than not they didn't even acknowledge my presence until they finished whatever they were working on. -The hotel breakfast was overall not to our liking and it would've been nice to have a posted menu to show the weekly breakfast and social food options we could expect. -Train tracks right next to the hotel are used very frequently and the trains blast their horns the whole way across the intersection. -The Casey's gas station across the street seems to be a meeting point for all local motorcyclists and muscle cars who like to rev their engines. Very loud and annoying at all hours every day of the week. -Hotel is only technically in Bricktown. Really it's 2 blocks too far away. The area surrounding the hotel did not make my family feel like we could safely walk to do anything in Bricktown.
---Some positives--- -Room was comfortable, although a bit cramped for 2 people and 2 medium-small dogs for 8 weeks. -Laundry was free although dryers would often take 2-3 runs to actually dry anything. -Wi-Fi was free and good enough to stream and play games. -Common areas were clean, comfortable and mostly quiet. -Maintenance staff was usually quick to fix things once reported to reception. -Many of the reception staff were helpful and pleasant, however there were one or two people that made the overall experience of interacting with reception a...
Read moreI attempted to leave this review through IHG, but it was declined due to breaking some rule of theirs when leaving reviews... I don't understand why, and frankly I don't care. I'll just resubmit my review here on Google, and now I can also elaborate a bit more. So Here We Go: . . Front desk was horrible... Garrett, I believe his name is? LAZY, rude & condescending. 99% of the time you see him, he's outside vaping some big chunky vape pen thing and blowing his sickening fruity vapors in the faces of passersby, but god forbid you ask him for ANYTHING.. he'll treat you like you're an absolute bother. I was in utter shock with this character... It's too long of a story to type, but if management wants to reach out to me, I'm not opposed to giving them the run down. If I'm not mistaken, though, I believe I read somewhere in an older review that Garrett is actually the manager, and if that's the case then I certainly don't expect to be hearing from anyone that cares. . .
Also, it took 29 days exactly before I received my $75 deposit back. I intended on having the entire charge disputed come day 30, so good on them. My bank would have honored a 30 day authorization dispute. . .
The room was nearly perfect. Very clean. (Weird TV angle) Great AC. Great style. Great location. For the price, ($322.16 plus a 30 day hold of an additional $75 for a 2 night stay), you would think that comes with great customer service as well, but wow that guy was the worst. . . I'd have given an extra star if the deposit hadn't become such a pain. We were told "5 to 7 business days" when we checked in, and I knew he was lying to my face, only to be proven right a month later. They know darn well no one's gonna go for a 30 day hold on a deposit which is why THEY WILL LIE TO YOU and tell you one week. Don't believe them. Read other reviews. I'm not the only one. . . The other 2 missing stars are because of the abysmal customer service from front desk staff (i.e. that Garrett fellow) . . The cleaning ladies were wonderful. My husband and I left them a generous cash tip in the room, because great customer service & work ethic deserve recognition. . . And i HOPE I don't get this same BS cookie cutter template response that most hotels use verbatim: . "Thank you for choosing Staybridge Suites and for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience at Staybridge Suites OKLAHOMA CITY DWTN - BRICKTOWN.
I would like to start by apologizing to you for not meeting your expectations. We strive to make each stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and we will use your comments to coach our team in order to provide a better experience in the future.
I hope you will give us a chance by staying with us again to show you that your unsatisfactory stay was an exception. " . . Blah blah blah... it's best to just NOT respond than to respond with THAT. There's absolutely no heart in it, and I'd just rather not... but thanks anyway. I just wanted to share...

I just returned from OKC. This was by far a different experience. The staff is VERY DIFFERENT..lack luster to say the least. The slender Asian-hispanic guy is rude and off putting. The morning reception staff was not at the desk or even inside the building as I stood waiting to be checked out around 7am. The breakfast is just ok. I booked my room for two nights initially, and paid in full online. However, they charged me for parking, which they hadn't in the past. I ended up having to book another night to continue enjoying time with family and friends. Instead of merging the two accounts, I was recharged $12 again for parking...so, a total of $24 for parking and, I keep getting charge declined emails where they are attempting to charge me $87 for something, I'm not even aware of....I keep calling to inquire about the $87, but I'm getting no answer. They have also held $170 on my card.

Review 3years ago: A really nice hotel. My stay was super relaxing. Our room was clean, spacious and fully equipped with everything one would need to relax and enjoy in a home away from stay. Our bed was so big, I felt like I was sleeping alone. The sofa bed was nice and perfectly sized for the space in the room. The kitchenette was nice and a very convenient luxury when you want to lite cook. The bed and bedding is soft. The blackout curtains helped during my day time catnaps. The breakfast was good. The hours were great on the weekends....it went through 10:30am. Talk about sleeping in a little. The only drawback was the pool being closed. My daughter was ready to swim. Anyhow, I would definitely recommend StayBridge Suites....walking distance to everything in Bricktown. I'm glad we...
