Worst service from an apartment complex I've ever experienced. I was lied to about: lease price, special offers, lease length, apartment features, and the list goes on. I was later told she was new and not lying to me, but rather giving me misinformation the entire time. The manager only responds once you've had issues for days, or bump into each other in the complex and she embarrassingly tells you how busy she is and she'll be right on it.
The elevator went out in my building on Sunday. On Wednesday it was still broken so I contacted the front office to see when it would be fixed. They informed me that they didn't even know it was broken. No one on staff even checks on the building.
For safety reasons there was a fire inspection I believe every 4 months, which I thought was a little excessive but thats fine. I then got a notice someone was going to come in to "gather serial numbers on appliances". Shortly after I received a notice that pest control was coming to "spray for pests". I have a dog and work during the day so I wouldn't be home for any of this and was interested in what they were actually doing to my apartment. Were they actually using chemicals to spray it down? Were they checking for bugs? I called to check with them and instead of finding out they got defensive, never answered a single question, and said they would not enter my apartment for pest control and that was that. At this point I was living there for about 3 months and had people come into my apartment while I was away 4 times and that was strange to me.
Even moving out they sent my security deposit to the wrong address, right after confirming my new address with me. The appeal Steelyard is destroyed by the incompetent...
Read moreI'm a 63 year old disable veteran. I just moved in and the lady's and Matt too have made my move as easy as possible. I did have a few issues but they were fixed within a few days. They don't have assign parking yet but they are working on it and they only have one handicap parking spot on the third level and I'm not the only handicap person here and I do walk with a cane and sometimes it's hard to walk any distance. but when I mention it to the office they are now putting in another handicap spot. There are a lot of young people here but I have found them to be very helpful and polite. When I was moving in I was on the third level crosswalk and a young lady was at the ground floor dog park but when she saw me she went and put her dog in her apartment and came to help me (I believe her name was Christy I hope I got that right) that's the kind of resident that live here.I do feel like a grandpa walking around but I have seen a few other people around my age here too and I did meet a nice lady around my age walking in the other day. So if you're looking for a apartment with all the amenities in a great location you need to move here. Steelyard apartments is in the Bricktown area and did I mention there's a IHOP within walking distance. But you better hurry these...
Read moreSAVE YOURSELVES PEOPLE! I'm going to break this down into two categories on why this place was so awful. Number one, The leasing manager would tell you something in person then never remember she said that and deny it, quite annoying. Secondly the units are terrible there were always those hidden dragon folks doing yoga right next to the grills which made it nearly impossible to grill. Then the pool was rarely if ever open. The leasing consultants would tell you how many fun events they had planned then nothing ever happened with them once you signed. The walk from the garage parking is about 15 minutes to your apartment which doesn't seem so bad at first but believe you me that gets old. The maintenance guy, attempted to scold me in public like I was his child once for complaining about my non-working washer & dryer. I only pray you heed my advice and stay nearly anywhere else, I suggest the Metropolitan or Edge. Also the reason they have any of the other 5 star reviews is the week you move in before the bad times hit they offer you a free coffee to...
