I stayed 9/16 in a King Suite. For the price, it was better than expected. However, it was not perfect. My first impression I thought I had made a bad choice. The neighborhood is not pretty. There are four hotels crammed into one parking lot. The hotel across from us had a nice pool. This hotel had a small hot tub and the area reeked of cigarette smoke. Once inside, I could still smell the smoke on that side of the lobby. However, the lobby was very clean, had several tables, and a nice coffee and tea set up. The lady that checked me in was so nice. I was impressed upon entering my room. There was a dishwasher, stove, microwave and full sized fridge, along with some ceramic bowls and plates. A coffee maker and toaster where in the cabinets. My bed was huge and the bedding was clean. The TV was an older model and the channels where hard to get to as the menu guide kept resetting while I scrolled. The TV speakers were also shot. The AC had been set to 72 and it was stuffy in the room. It did take a few hours to get the room cool. I ordered lunch and supper through UberEats. BIG mistake. They delivered my food to the wrong hotel. I went down to the lobby to see if they had food to purchase as I am diabetic and my blood sugar was super low. The frozen food was melting. However, the night clerk knew of the situation with my food and actually gave me a couple of snacks for free. I went upstairs to shower, and that is probably my worst complaint. The walk in shower was not clean. There were dark hand prints on the wall and when the shower steamed up you could see that the cleaning person had only wiped down the doors to waist level. I put a towel on the floor of the shower to take my shower. The towels were clean and soft. I then went to bed in the most comfortable bed I think I had ever been in. The pillows alone made my night. The next morning I received the wake up call I had asked for. I went down to breakfast. It was the standard hotel breakfast with some good and some bad. The coffee and tea station are completely across the lobby. The only other option of drink was plain milk and apple juice. Most hotels now offer some type of sugar free drink and there was no option. The yogurt was old fashion yoplait. The only thing I saw that was sugar free was syrup, however they did not have the waffle/pancake maker on. But the old fashioned potatoes and onions were so good!! I went back up to my room to pack and there was a lady talking to one of the employees, I do not know if she was an employee or not, as nobody wore uniforms, that was cursing up a storm. I hope she was not an employee with the way she was speaking in public. I checked out smoothly, and the clerk gave me directions to the nearest gas station. He was so polite. I would go back again, because of the bed and pillows and the nice employees at the lobby desk. Although I might check out one of the other four hotels in...
Read morePros: The staff up front were friendly allowed me early check in and late check out. Cute kitchenette with nice microwave and decent fridge (but the plates, cups, silverware, and etc. were dirty). Convenient driving location to Bricktown.
Cons: Our bed sheets especially the pillows covers smelled like clothes left in the washer for a few days, like water mildew. The sheets had what looked to be like short pet hairs all over and human hairs that were not ours. It’s right next to the train tracks and the windows were poorly insulated and you can hear them extremely loudly. Now Trains are not one to bother me because I have train tracks in my backyard so for me to complain about this is BIG! we were on the second floor and it was a bit windy (this goes with poorly insulated windows) I could hear the wind blowing against our window all night very loudly to the point that I couldn’t sleep.
The shower bottom had holes all over inside and it felt very dirty. Poor water pressure.
The plates that came with the kitchenette had hairs on them not just a few but a lot! Cups and silverware had what looked to be dried food particles on them.
TV was old and super slow in loading channels. Remote was old and not connecting to the TV well.
Breakfast was limited it included scramble eggs with cold cheese, hard bagels, a waffle maker, burnt hard sausage patties, and biscuits and gravy.
Only one elevator was working.
The location was close to Bricktown (about 5 min drive) but not i would not recommend walking, it seemed dangerous to be walking.
Looking out the window in the morning I saw a few homeless people walking around and even stopping at the storage place next door to sit and hangout.
I booked through a 3rd party and it was considered “4 star” hotel, two days later it dropped to 2.9 stars!
I would never...
Read moreWhen we came in (first visit there), we were very impressed with the modern styling and the spacious kitchenette room, a great value for $72 (plus taxes). Breakfast was excellent also. But then we encountered a major impediment to our stay. On the television THERE WAS NO APPARENT WAY TO FIND OUT WHAT PROGRAMS WERE BEING BROADCAST! There was a button on the remote that provided a list of channels BUT NOT WHAT WAS PLAYING ON EACH CHANNEL. There was no apparent guide. We are accustomed to hotel televisions (including all Choice hotels where we have stayed previously; we are Choice Privileges Gold members) having a "GUIDE" option that lists programming in half-hour steps, with the ability to click ahead several hours to find out what is playing later. Movie? Ballgame? Talk show? This information was not apparently available on the very nice large screen TV in our room. Local channels were identified by their call letters. We could not even tell which was ABC, CBS, CW, NBC or PBS. We asked at the front desk, the desk clerk had no clue. It seemed your TV feed comes from Cox, as does our feed at home, but none of your Cox channels remotely matched up with the Cox channels with which we are familiar, so that was no help. The desk clerk seemed pretty unhelpful with any area information, from the location of a restaurant to directions to get back to I-35. Also, we observed a lack of sufficient towel bars in the bathroom. Only one bar by the sink, which held hand towels and washcloths. No bar for the bath towels, which were left on the vanity -- not within easy reach after a shower. And the shower (bathtub) floor was very slippery. The overall experience did not match up to our...
