DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Orland Township

Returned so gift I received from out of town. I honestly thought the story was closed. The name was still there but no cars and no signs of life. I started to turnaround and just go to Evergreen. I went to Evergreen a few weeks ago and the lady behind the counter said I needed my daughters credit card. I said just return it to the card the items were charged on. She said she couldn't do that. So I said my experience has been that Casual Male now DXL could use any debit card and possibly a my own credit card. She nope, can't do that either. Then you preceded to tell me how long she'd be working there. I'm thinking Geez, I wouldn't tell anyone that but I'm happy about her career if she is. So, the guy at Orland told me he saw nothing wrong with how the store looked closed but he'd share it with his manager. I said nope, don't do that. When I walked in the store he was there alone I guess, certainly no customers. So he was getting paid to work without really working. In retail if you have time to lean you have time to clean. But nope, this guy had no motivation. But what he did say was if I didn't have my daughters credit card he could return it on my card. Hummm? I had her card, no problem. If he or Evergreen ran my phone number perhaps they'd see the many years I've purchased from them and the many states. But look, I'm a nobody I wish them both well in their DXL endeavors. Karroll's Men's store never had such an attitude nor did Mandy's out on Roosevelt Road in Hinsdale I believe. Anyway, the closed the Mattson store were Mikah managed. I have absolutely nothing nice to say about the Orland Park location. Let's start with the customer service. A definite zero out of 100. The guy did welcome us into the store but did nothing but sit behind the counter. The second sales associate did nothing but give one customer all there attention and after that customer bought a suit the sales associate just disappeared while the other sat behind the counter. Now let's talk about the store. What a disappointment. They NEVER have stock of basic things such as under shirts or just underwear. Plus the app does not match what's in the store. Not to mention the entire store is in udder disarray. It's clear that no one that works there cares enough to straighten up the products and have the store looking presentable. Not long after leaving I got an email code to use online or in-store. I figured I'll just use it online so I didn't have to into the store. But lo and behold the code didn't work. Later that night I got a survey asking about my experience and I let loose. I get an follow up email from the Regional sales manager Tony Forbes wanting to reach out over phone and talk to me after the memorial day holiday. We'll not a big surprise after a week he didn't reach out. It's things like this are are the reasons why I stopped going to DXL and took my money to Kingsize and Amazon. I loved going to this location because of the tack sharp customer service a young man by the name of Noah, this guy knew what to bring you just by talking to you a few minutes. Noah would throw together 2-3 different choices and paterns of shirts and tie combinations. I went in to the store today for a shirt and tie for New Years Eve party. Very disappointed to find out Noah was let go for some reason. The new manager was in there dancing around sent me to another associate which sized me up and walked off with no suggestions what so ever. I felt like I was shopping at a Walmart but with the exception of nicer clothing. Very poor customer service the woman in there have no clue how to address men’s fashion needs. The 2 stars are solely for the clothing choices would have been 5 stars if the most important part of the experience would have included customer service. Hope DXL makes this location...
