People...beware of this place. It was the worst place I have ever stayed, and it will forever haunt me. I booked online through American Forces Travels, and since my parents were visiting Alabama with me, they booked through Kayak. First of all, when I booked online for 2 nights, I didn't realize that I had booked a smoking room. It's completely my fault. As soon as I realized my mistake, I called the hotel and talked to a nice lady who said they were booked, but she would put down in the notes that I wanted to change to a non-smoking room. She seemed very understanding and made me think they would be accommodating. This was about a week before my stay. Finally, I got to the hotel with my family and realized that the pictures posted on the website were not accurate to what I was actually seeing. Red Flags... When I go to check in, I am immediately told by the receptionist that since I book a smoking room, that is what I was going to get and that they were booked. Ok, fine, it was my mistake. My dad then checked into his room. So, my son and I go to our room, and that is when I realized that I was scammed. The room they gave me was beyond disgusting. If you don't believe me, check out the pictures that I will post. The sheets were stained, and the pillows looked dirty. The front door had a gap between the floor where any small creatures like rats or snakes could come in without any problem. The microwave looked gross, and the toilet and the bathroom door almost touched when opened and closed. Plus, the smell of the room was so horrible it was hard to breathe. My son and I decided to go to the front to get new sheets. This is when I also realized I was lied to. The receptionist who told me they were sold out was giving a lady who had no reservations a room. I then confronted the receptionist, and he said all he could do was use a spray to help eliminate the smoke smell and if I was to cancel the room I would have to go through a big long process and that would be a headache but at this point I didn't care. I told him that it was fine, that I had no problem calling the 3rd party website where I made the reservation to cancel my stay, and he said they would call them directly to get approval. I told him I was going to call them and left. I called without any problem. The 3rd party understood my situation and put me on hold to call the hotel. After all that... the hotel denied the approval. Another lie! I went back to the front desk to speak to the receptionist, and he was gone. A new receptionist had replaced him. I had to explain to him what the situation was. After all was said and done....they gave me a non-smoking room(that they didn't have) and no refund. This room was way better but still not up to par. I really wanted to leave, but I would be out almost $200. We were able to sleep in these beds without feeling like we would catch something. The room was better, but it definitely had its own issues. The bathroom looked like it had black mold above the shower, and that would make sense since the fan didn't work. The last night we stayed, there was a small roach on the ceiling. I caution anyone who is looking to stay at this hotel....

Rooms were OK, nice, and of newer style. TV was flat screen and channel options were adequate (several Hbo and movie channels ) Checking in wasn't exactly a breeze but was of the Economy I expected, and received a King Suite with sof a, a bit dingy sofa overall a clean room. I would stay again I give 3 stars ⭐⭐⭐ as I reserve the 4 ⭐. I did have a quiet night, what short time I was there,. I arrived at about 3 am local time. They we're ringing the room by 10:30 asking if I planned to stay additional days, without acknowledge of my choice privilege rewards request for late check-out. (2:00pm which would be about 12 hours rental.) ( The inn keeper was Indian as is a growing trend in the hotel industry. ). My charges were explain upon check out and overall I feel you will have a pleasant experience or I would haven't bothered to review this location. The photo attached is across the street and caught my eye. I enjoyed my visit to Oxford Recommendation:. See the world's largest office chair while this close...

The girl that checked us in was nice, the rooms weren't great smelled musty, the beds were small 2 full size, we had a total of 5 rooms. Box springs covers were pretty nasty I guess they dont clean those. 1 of the guys door would not close so when he told the guy at front desk he told him just to put his bag in front of door to keep it from coming open😬. Overall in wouldn't stay again but we needed something quick for the night.

I’m not one that normally take the time to write reviews. However I just experienced some unbelievable rudeness at check in of this motel. Getting right to the point. Checked in on 9/29 requesting a 1pm check out which as a gold member is part of privilege in member program. The lady at front desk told me I couldn’t have this request. After reminding her of advertised privilege she went forward with accommodation. Came back the next day after making visits with my clients ready for some rest and was very rudely screamed and fussed with by who claim he was the owner about my request of a 1 pm check out. He was so excited I could only understand every couple words. No 1pm No 1pm is what he kept shouting. After I explained that I was only exercising my gold privilege request he got even louder even with another guest waiting to check in behind me. He offered to cancel my reservation because of this choice privilege request. I explained I’m a guest and would appreciate him to calm down and give me key to a room. He gave me key while continuing trying to explain to me why I can’t get this request at this facility. He mentioned covic 19 and I explained to him that I would call choice and let them know what he’s shouting to me and maybe he should do the same. After going into my room he knocked on door calling my name trying to continue fussing. I explained to him it’s not my problem and to call choice and let them know. Just to be fair I’ve stayed here a few times and never had any issues until now. This person truly owes me a apology and might want to take some customer...

Zero stars !!!!I had the lowest of expectations and was still extremely disappointed. First off the toilet in room was already clogged and would not flush. It took a while for them to send someone to fix it. Should have left right then, but room was paid for in advance and no refunds were allowed. We had booked queen non smoking and were given 2 doubles beds smoking. Room stunk very badly of smoke. Towels also stank of smoke like they had not been changed after prior guests. At night the room was overwhelmed with roaches. Had to shake out all of our luggage and pack everything back in the car. Had to take all of our cloths to laundry before returning home. The motel room door did not seal at the bottom allowing swarms of roaches to enter as they pleased. Have to say this ranks as on one of the worst stays we have ever had. Stay away unless you like sharing you room with roaches. Informed front desk staff of the issue and was ignored. Camping would have had less bugs. Avoid this motel at all costs!!!!

And now your response to my Google review is the same as it was at the hotel ...thanks. Not even an apology, but thanks. Let me thank you for charging us $600 to stay in your roach infested dump. This was hands down the worst stay we have ever experienced with a Choice hotel. Thanks for ruining the reputation of the entire Choice Hotels brand. This experience and your comments have reported back to...
