Got there in the early evening and the lobby was locked. No one was there but there was a sign saying to check into the hotel across the street. A bit confusing to find - not directly across from the street and there's another hotel next to it (frustrating especially in the heat, would appreciate if how to get there was just spelled out). The people at the hotel across the street were very professional and friendly and walked me over. The room was very spacious and bright and had a modern feel. It had a mini kitchen (refrigerator and microwave) with a sink. Property was nice and quiet. Location is great for walkability, that's probably the best part. You have a BevMo and a grocery store right by, and all the shopping. Interacted with a couple people on the staff and they were professional and friendly. I do have some feedback, thought, because things definitely could have been better.
My biggest concern at a hotel is cleanliness and the shower had quite a few pubic hairs in it, which was really gross and made me feel not in good hands off the bat. It also was not draining well, and had a weird stain on the drain. The toilet was running a lot and had an odor. The mirror wasn't clean, either. The pool was pretty nice - the best part is the beautiful view of the mountains. It's a big small but the property is small so never had an issue with sharing. Water and towels are provided. It did have bugs though and for a couple of days there was some dog poop outside my door. Some things had a cheap feel, like the bathroom vanity wasn't bolted to anything and was wobbling any time I hit it, a couple of the blinds were broken which wasn't good privacy-wise, the towels and toilet paper were cheap and rough. AC is nice and cold but bring a sleep mask because it has a very bright blue light. The walls are thin, so bring a white noise machine or use your phone. Breakfast looked ok, I saw some hot coffee, yogurt, and boiled eggs, but I didn't partake. Free parking but not covered parking - something to consider for guests is shade for their cars. To the owners and management I would say just a few changes with attention to detail could make this place feel so much nicer, like just fix the blinds, deal with the stain in the shower, replace anything old or run down (like this tissue holder, just get a new one from TJ Maxx). Would be helpful if you left info out - I couldn't remember check out time, breakfast times, didn't know the # for maintenance, etc., especially since the staff leaves early would be helpful if you left some info. I thought I remembered reading there were bikes to rent but I didn't have any info. Maybe it was there but I missed it or it wasn't in an easy to find place. Not sure how it works if you need something in the evening. Biggest pros are location, spaciousness, and quiet. Ok overall, but I'm not happy I was forced to pay a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEarly in my stay I received a text asking me to rate my stay. I let them know I was unsatisfied and I requested a call from management. I was told I would receive one, but never did. The complete lack of effort by this hotel is the biggest problem: itās bad, and they do not care.
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING This is a budget motel experience with colorful wallpaper and throw pillows. If you are booking this hotel at a rate higher than Motel6, you are paying too much.
POSITIVES Pool area is nice and has a great mountain view. Parking is complimentary. Housekeeping staff are very friendly.
CONCERNS Linens are threadbare and fraying - just disgusting. White towels are gray - my cleaning rags look better. They smell musty after getting wet and made the whole room stink. Really needs a good deep clean - build-up of dirt grime in corners and on baseboards, sticky stains on walls. Dishes provided in the room also were not clean (I pulled dirty silverware from the ācleanā silverware cup). General lack of repair: tv remote wonāt turn it off, had to unplug. Many fixtures/furnishings in the room are chipping/peeling. I prepaid my reservation and then saw rates less than half what paid!! Itās honestly a crime hotels can hold my CC in case there are damages, but I am held hostage in a non-refundable nightmare with absolutely no course of action except to leave this review. Room only stocked with decaf coffee. No bag for ice bucket, ice bucket also did not look clean. No cups in the breakfast area for coffee, bananas were brown and beat up, some oranges moldy. This is my $40/day resort fee at work! Pool area has speakers but no music was ever playing and would be nice if there had been some.
OTHER NOTES Check-in is at a property across the street. Very close tho. The property construction is very original MCM- thin walls and single pane windows. You will hear your neighbors snore⦠and everything else. Breakfast is a muffin and fruit. Muffins are very good! I paid $1100 for three nites (inc. tax and fees). Thats an average of 366/night. Then I see the online rates listed were $100/night during my stay. I understand rates can flex. BUT I was completely taken for a ride with with their nonrefundable PRICE GOUGING advance rate. I was financially held hostage in subpar accommodations. They refused to cancel my third and last night. The place seemed empty except for what seemed to be many one-night guests arriving late and leaving early. I assume they were short-notice discount bookings. One other guest room had an overdose and had to be taken...
