My best friend and I (both 50 something YO, who haven't worked out in decades) joined Palm Springs Orange theory about 18 months ago and we were so nervous that we wouldn't be able to keep up, or get through a class, and a million other things you tell yourself about why it's too scary to join a work out studio. We were greeted right away by Coach Nathan who was so kind and informative, we immediately began to feel at ease. He encouraged us throughout the class (and nearly every class since), and several others in the class that day welcomed us and encouraged us to keep coming. We did, and brought along my husband who also joined. Us three are now addicted to this place! Orange Theory has the perfect recipe for a successful workout, combined with the coolest vibe. Coach Nathan & Coach Alma's music is always the best (helping to distract us from the challenging workouts!), and under Coach Kevin's management, there is such a feeling of community, with fun holiday workouts and gatherings/activities in the greater Palm Springs area that benefit both our own mental/physical health, and the larger community around our beloved town. As if all that isn't enough reason, we have met and made some of the coolest friends ever, which has lead to pool parties, dinners out, and celebrations both in and out of the OTF studio. This little studio has changed our lives in...
Read moreThe absolute worst Orangetheory. Orangetheory prides itself on allowing Premier members to use their memberships “across the country” - yet this studio called nearly one week in advance for a CC to be taken. I’ve worked at OTF in the past and know this is not a policy anywhere. If you prebook a class you cannot be removed by the studio, especially for not providing a CC even though your CC is in the app. If they’re so concerned about a member not showing they can simply call their home studio and ask to charge the member a late fee. This is terrible customer service & I usually am very pro OTF but avoid this studio at all costs. They do not operate by the policies you agree to as a member and also lie - they told me there was a waitlist of members needing to be let in. Then they told me “once you hand over your CC” We will let you back into the class….a little sketchy if you...
Read moreThey will make you buy a heart rate monitor, they will not let you bring your own... okay whatever, I bought one, heck I bought two!!!... an they both break down, completely stop working both less than 6 months of use, so now I am left with the option to buy a new one for 120$ or workout for $180 a month but with no heart rate monitor (which is the entire reason I joined) like what?! Such a scam, it’s like they make it hard for you to workout, nuts!!! That’s okay I will take my $$$ elsewhere. Please do not sell me a product that will stop working especially when your entire business is revolves around this item (heart rate monitor) If you care about customer service, go...
