Cero/negative start rating.
This has been in mi mind for quite some time. But finally I took the time. And, honestly, if there was a cero star, or even negative, that would be my rating. We arrived to this hotel on January 14 around 6PM as part of a road trip we took from Phoenix to Anaheim. As we arrived, there was a cop giving a ticket to a car in front of the hotel. We thought it was a random act. Then as we enter, there was a scketchy guy on riding a bicycle in the parking lot , like those you see in a movie doing patrol or looking for a customer. As we walked from the car to the lobby, a car with very dark-tinted windows and loud music drove by and then was talking to some people in the middle of the parking lot. In the lobby we encountered a couple of people hanging out, and the attendant was behind a full-glass, like the ones you see in a gas station for protection. So far, we just needed a basic clean place to sleep. But thing kept on adding up. As we walked to hour room, there was a door with a bunch of shoes outside. Another room had a hand-written sign that said Do Not Disturbed. SO: this is a low-income motel or extended stay. Nothing wrong with but I think this should be explicit said as part of the description. As we enter the room it did look OK in terms of presentation/decoration. It was all we needed. BUT, it smelled like cigarette even though it was a non-smoking room, as I lift the sheet, it had plenty of stains, and the bathroom was dirty like it was used with a lot of brown hand paper in the toilet. That was way over the edge. We head to the lobby and asked for our money back. We did not received any hesitation whatsoever from the attendant (like it was business as usual) and he returned our funds, no questions asked. But wait: as we exit the lobby a couple of cops entered the premises and asked for a list of tenants. I honestly wish I am making this up but I am not. We felt in the getto big time and, for safety reasons, we left the...
Read moreStay away - what standard qualifies a dump like this as a hotel, seriously??? I thought I have seen the bottom of the barrel after various Motel6's and alike. They're 3-stars in comparison to this place. I would personally be ASHAMED to offer an accommodation like this as an employee and/or owner. Walls full of damages (and not only small ones), scotch tape residuals (who knows what long-term tenant occupied this rooms previously), completely missing smoke detector and just wires hanging out of the ceiling (code violation), torn up laminate flooring, an AC unit w/ a busted on/off switch and don't even get me started on this disgusting bathroom with a totally damaged tub, torn off base boards and who knows what kind of disgusting stains or patch jobs all over the place. How much worse can it really get for such a high nightly charge. You're better off camping somewhere. Don't waste your money on this place. I tried to spend as little time as possible on the premises, that's how repulsed I was. Never coming back to this place or...
Read moreI booked a stay at OYO Hotel Palmdale on 12/19/2022. I am from out of town, and this was my first time staying in Palmdale; I am unfamiliar with the area. When I arrived here, gang members were hanging out, drinking, smoking, and doing drugs. I walked inside, paid for my room, and got my key. When I came outside, I was confronted by a male asking me who I was and where I was from. This is a gang member testing me.||I did not stay, turned around, and asked for a refund. I was told to come back the next day around 11:00 a.m. I returned the next day after 11:00 am and was still given the run-around. I will dispute the charge with my bank if they are unwilling to resolve this amicably. Their advertisement is FRAUDULENT! This is a motel, not a hotel, and the rooms are not clean, and the pictures on the website do not reflect what I saw in person. Hookers, drugs, gangs, and filth. If you are looking for a safe place, DO NOT go near it. UNSAFE...
