Had a fairly unpleasant experience. The staff was rude and unfriendly. We never got the feeling of welcome, more like they had to put up with us. The floor in our room was filthy, an hour into our stay, socks/feet were black from walking on the hardwood floor. Our toilet paper had not been replaced from the guests before us and was ripped/hanging to the floor. Mirrors had smudges, so did the bathroom counter. We asked for a single queen room. What we a double Queen room, with one bed missing. One of us had to crawl into bed and sleep against a wall, and reach over the other for things on the night stand. The remote had no backing, so you had to hold the batteries in. The shower head leaked, which doesnt fall inside the curtain. Thus, the previously dirty floor flooded.
We stayed in room 220. We had a staircase on one side, the freeway in front, and a "vacant" room on the other. All day, a maids cart thudded it's way up the stairs and stopped in front of our door, and maids would go into room 119 for 20 min ish. Knocking on, and slamming the door each time, and being loud/yelling while inside. Then the cart thudded it's way back down the stairs. This continued every 20-30 min, from 11 am, to about 6 pm.
Their pillows are very thin, and the room only gets two. I asked the front desk for two more, and was told they only had one. One of us was comfortable, one of us might as well have just layes our head directly on the bed. The second day we asked for new towels, and they never came.
Our second day, check-out was at Noon. We decided to stay another night. We alerted our maid that we would be staying another night and would be down to pay as soon as my boyfriend got dressed. Not 10 minutes later, she was banging on the door saying "housekeeping" we yelled "hold on! Just a second!" About 4 times, louder each time, since someone was undressed, changing. She decided to unlock the door herself and barge in, us still yelling "Hold on! Just a second!!' Luckily the lock only allowed her to open the door a couple inches, otherwise she would have exposed him to the entire 14 freeway. I explained, again. She left and as he's walking out the door, the front desk calls. The woman introduces herself and then is silent.. (okay what are you calling for? Speak..) I assumed the maid contacted her, so I explained and told her he was on his way to pay for the room. She replied rudely with "He's coming down RIGHT NOW, right!?" Yes.. he's already left. I got an "okay thanks" and she hung up. I'm sorry we're occupying another one of your dirty, noisy rooms another night? Sorry for the inconvenience? Luckily, we were gone most of the day and didn't hear the activity at room 119 again.
Overall- This hotel is conveniently placed in the same parking lot as an AMPM gas station, and a diner. That was nice. However, I wouldn't recommend any women attempt to walk to the store after dark. The furniture is worn, but still fine. Don't ask for more towels, because you won't receive them. You have to pay for wifi, $2.99 per 24 hours, and it's slow. Our TV was mounted next to a lamp, partly behind the lamp shade. The rooms are drafty, so hope the heater works. Bring your own blankets, towels and pillows. The beds are uncomfortable. Mine was uneven, my boyfriends side was significantly higher than mine. I was rolled on a few times lol The bedding is uncomfortable and not soft at all. There is also dog poop everywhere. Every Motel 6 ive been to, offers a waste clean up station on the grassy areas, for pet messes. This one doesn't, so stay off the grass.
I also wouldn't recommend women walk to the hotel lobby after dark by themselves, at least without being extra aware and vigilant. There was one hooded man, stalking the lobby, inside and out, while I was getting ice. He disappeared and I saw him again, staring from the top balcony as I walked back to my room. I've also read other reviews of robberies in the parking lot.
The Ramada is across the street. It's the same price, has more amenities and any staff is nicer than this...

6/16/17.: This is the most disrespectful hotel i have ever been to. I stayed for 3 nights. The first night i let it go, i did not complain. The second night i had to say something. The person in the room next to me, extremely loud. She had 5 children in the hotel with her. She also was trafficing drugs from the hotel day in and out. There was nothing but banging on the walls, fighting, kids crying from being hit and spanked. I counted how many people she would bring into the hotel at night. The second night, there were at LEAST 12 adults in her room partying, drinking, and selling drugs. Cars would pull up, honk their horns, blasting music, waiting for her to bring them the drugs outside. The front desk did nothing. It was ONLY quiet between 4 a.m to 7 a.m.
The second night i left my wife there while i worked. She was verbally harrassed by a man in black dress pants, white long sleeve shirt, with a tie late in the night while taking our dog out to pee. He had an old grey beat up family van infront of our hotel. He insisted on attempting to give her money for sexual favors. She complained to the front desk. Once again, the front desk did not do anything. They would not change rooms for her and were very disrespectful. They also insisted they could not rewind the video recordings so she could make a police report with evidence. Luckily, our dog scared him away.
That morning i was forced to stay at work until 12 30. Check out is at 12. I called to make it clear i would be there by 1 p.m to pay for another room. The manager, keven, forced her out with her stuff and her dog. She was left on the corner of the motel in the parking area. Without a phone to contact me. Keven then called the police on her and told them he had a homeless person on the property soliciting!!! My wife is a very quiet kind person and sat where he asked her to sit. This is utterly the most rude, unprofessional hotel we have ever been to. Before she had left the hotel when a knock demanded her to leave at 12 sharp, she had thoroughly cleaned the hotel in top notch condition for the maids. She even took the sheets off and folded all of the bedding.
We will never go back there again. We are still waiting back for a call from corporate. I have seen a review of someone staying here and complaining about air conditioning being too cold, and they get a free night stay? Then what would...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Motel 6 in Palmdale for 7 day's. I generally like coming here because they are pet friendly and staffing has always been extraordinary. This time it wasn't the case. Though the quality of the room was superb, the circumstances were not. Every night there was constant pounding on either walls or ceiling. Next door to me domestic abuse occurred one night with screaming and continual sensory assault's on my room while we were trying to sleep. On another day some random woman pounded on our window screaming for Jessie. If this wasn't enough a woman who had drank far too much fell down the stairs from the second floor acting as if she were fine, only minutes later screaming non stop for around 15 minutes while we waited for paramedics to arrive. Drug deals were also being done along the fence in the corner of the hotel by the trash cans. This all occurred over 7 days, not including cars bumping loud music every night around 1 to 2 AM. I work as a caregiver so my hours generally consist of 14 hour shift's. I made these complaints known to the front desk by the 4th day at 4 AM when I had to leave. Receiving no response I contacted customer service to tell them of my experience. They stated they talked to Kevin and that everything would be worked out. I was told I would be contacted by the general manager (Kevin) of the Motel 6 before checkout tomorrow. I was never called. Finally I had to make my way to the front desk. Gabby a very nice manager was the go between for Kevin and I. The best she could do was give me a discount on a night of stay and she would let her manager know what I requested. Everything went downhill from there. I never received a call from Kevin so I finally contacted him. He told me there was no point in calling me if he didn't have enough info gathered common courtesy or not. He also blamed me for not contacting him directly and that his hands were tied because I called customer service. He also blamed me for not giving him a play by play when these things had occurred even though I told front desk when I had time. He made me feel unimportant and insignificant. I felt he was very rude and very petty and more angry I had called customer service which might have made him look bad. He then promised me he would contact me back that day. That was 6 days ago and he never called me again. When it comes to customer service he failed. I hope Johnathan Hicks his manager will...
