Let me start by saying I was very surprised to see all great reviews on tripadvisor but not as great reviews on google of this same hotel. What I experienced I believe is more inline with the google reviews at least the negative ones as they are what we experienced too. The only real positive thing about this hotel is the room sizes. The reason why this hotel scored low for me and my husband are the reasons we will not come back. If you read the reviews on google regarding the house cleaning, or should I say non existent and the breakfast bar those are absolutely correct. I could actually handle breakfast bar running out of items and replacing with something else but the housekeeping is the absolute worst I think I've ever encountered when staying at a hotel and I have stayed at many hotels at different star levels . I am not picky but this hotels housekeeping schedule is rated a complete F in my book. First, they say you get your towels replenished every other day, well that didn't happen, housekeeping never showed up. I knew we were going to need towels so the morning of I went to the front desk to verify we would be on the list, she didn't have the list but verified with me my check in day and that we were due that day for replenished towels. Also, they do NOT clean your room AT ALL, like no new bed sheets, no cleaning your floors etc, no making your bed but every 6 th day! Well we stayed 6 nights and they never once came in to clean our room. We checked in on a Friday and left Thursday morning. I called Wednesday down to the front desk since no one cleaned our room and the guy who answered had no idea when the actual cleaning was to take place. He couldn't give me an answer if it was supposed be Wednesday or if it would fall on Thursday our check out day! Come on, who wants to stay at a hotel where you never get clean sheets, clean bathroom, floors cleaned ( especially after beach days) til check out, I don't know about you but most people vacation about a week. To never have your room cleaned or replenished is not acceptable. Ive seen responses on google that this was temporary set back on housekeeping but that was when then first opened and it still hasn't change. I don't think they plan on changing this time frame as it listed all over the hotel on signs about the cleaning schedule.. Oh and they say you can come down and get towels or what you need is ridiculous. You are paying decent money and are on vacation. I don't mind if our room was cleaned and towels replaced and we needed extra to go down ourselves that's understandable. Last but not least reason we will not stay is this is a dog friendly hotel. Dont get me wrong I love dogs and had dogs growing up BUT if you are not traveling with dogs you may not be happy here, I thought, along with my husband it smelled in the lobby, hallways etc like dog. The second day there, a dog had diarrhea by the lobby elevators. It was cleaned up quickly but when we got off our floor to our room the stench was overpowering, other people getting off with us were commenting about it too. The problem is they have carpeting in all the hallways and elevators. The lobby has more of vinyl/hardwood flooring easier and more sanitary to clean. I cant believe they have carpeting in the elevators and the hallways when they allow dogs as this is harder to keep clean and isn't as sanitary. The carpeting on the elevators already have multiple stains and looks dirty/old for a new hotel. We wont be back as there are so many other options in...

We are Platinum Life time Members. WE are in our mid 70's and White....... We stayed in a lot of Hotels with Marriott. We showed up 1 hour early for check in. We were told our room was not ready YET and would we WAIT. We said yes, NO Problem. We had a Service Dog and I called a day before to let them know and to ask for a ground floor room. They ask my wife if she was a service dog . She said Yes.
One half later they said the room was ready and when I went up to give my c/c they asked again if the dog was a service dog I said yes, The front desk again asked what service I told them MEDICAL... they insisted what kind of Medical? I told them one is Hearing. They asked for proof!!! I showed them her service card with a photo of her... THIS IS VERY ILLEGAL TO ASK FOR PROOF AND TO INSIST TO ASK BEYOND MEDICAL REASONS. IT IS FLA LAW... The room bed comforter had hug tennis ball lumps in it and was very uncomfortable.. also we did not get the FEATHER FREE ROOM AND ALL NIGHT WE WERE SNEEZING AND SORE THROAT. My wife called and left a message for Asst Manager Camille . Three times she went to front desk and finally caught her in the hall. She ask her to come to the room and see.
Camille, showed lack of empathy, was argumentative, abrasive and seemed to enjoy escalating the conversation. Camille then said she would talk to the GM Monday when she gets in.. Monday came and no call so at 10:00 am my wife went to front desk.. NO one available they are busy...She asked the GM to call room 119. NO call ever from the GM. Half hour later Camille called and said that they will give us 5,000 points for the room mix up 'BUT WE ARE GOING TO CHARGE YOU FOR 2 DAYS FOR YOU DOG". My wife said she is a service dog... Camille said NO she isnt.. You came to breakfast without her. My wife said , yes because my husband was with me and there was a lot of people so I wanted to respect the space and people. She got real nasty and argumentative.. as if my wife was a PRIVILEGED WHITE WOMAN... My wife told her she had proof she is a Service Dog... Camille said I want to see this proof. She told her we showed her ID when we checked in... Camille just went on and on and she was going to charge us. My wife said you have No right, She said YES I DO and I already charged you. I went right down to the front desk and showed them the dogs ID and they took a photo copy.
Never did the GM call or come out! WE were VIOLATED, DISCRIMINATED AND OUR LEGAL RIGHT WERE TAKEN AWAY ON TOP THAT THIS HOTEL VIOLATED FLORDA LAW AGAINST SERVICE DOGS AND THE INFORMATION THEY ARE ALLOWED TO ASK OR DEMAND.. IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN OUR 35 YEARS AT A MARRIOTT. POOR MANAGEMENT ALL THE WAY AROUND. We reported a claim on them to Fla Hotel/ Restaurant. Tallahassee Division.
RUN. RUN.... Go next door to the Marriott Town Hotel... hope your...
