Great place we walk every day but are giving it up due to the many owners who do not leash their dogs. Of course, the rules don't apply to them! I have asked a few and they are very aggressive in responding that their dog wouldn't hurt a flea. Really? I have an 8 pound dog and as much as I know him, I have no idea what he would or wouldn't do in a certain situation. They are dogs! Little ones always are seriously injured or killed by big dogs. There are signs throughout the park that they must be leashed and picked up after as there is a lot of feces laying around. So, after consulting my dog trainer he suggested that I carry bear spray which I now have. The sad thing is that a dog is going to bear the pain of that when it is the owner's fault. The other day we were there and a large standard poodle was running off leash. A woman was walking and I can only imagine that she was bitten by a dog as she was screaming to please keep the dog away from her. Of course the owner stated that the dog was friendly and not to worry. There was a couple who consoled her and walked her to her car. Why??? I don't know why someone does not patrol the park. You want revenue for PCB fine these people as it's the only way to...

I would like to take this opportunity to exploit a lady who works at the Panama City Parks and Recreational Areas. This female has been harassing people who come to the parks (Arron Bessant Park and Frank Brown Park) who seem to be homeless. Her motive for driving homeless people out of the parks... Well, quite frankly, she's become popular because of all the free concerts. But this has been going on way before the free concerts at Aaron Bessant Park. This lady is short with white hair and usually travels around with her husband and dog in a golf cart. On Thursday, August 17th she came into the park and saw me napping by the trees, called the police as a concerned citizen that I'm lying in the park but then a K9 unit comes and the guy is very aggressive and acts like I'm hiding something. I have never been so angry in my life. This woman should lose her job. This is discrimination and against our civil rights. On another note, She has been keeping the bathroom locked during open hours to keep people...

Clean park with a great loop walking trail. Huge plus the park is dog friendly! They have large open well maintained fields for playing fetch or exercising. Bathrooms on site not sure of their condition never used them. Great location to a dog friendly beach right across the street and dog friendly restaurants in pier park all within...

Lovely park next to Pier Park. This is a great place to walk. A lot of families come here and ride their bikes. There’s plenty of grass and lots of trees and shade. There are benches everywhere to sit and eat lunch. There’s also several buildings where you can use the restroom and wash your hands. There are also water fountains as well.

Parks and Recreation does a fantastic job keeping the parks in pristine condition There is always something going on. The Concert in the Park series just finished with various band every Thursday. Free entry, just bring a chair or blanket.
