We are visiting pcb fl for vacation and decided we would try this location and wayback for the first time...well unfortunately we couldnt make an online order in the app so we tried to call the order in but the phone rang and rang and rang i hung up and called again and the same thing....well i decided to drive to the location as we really really wanted to try the food...well upon pulling up to this location 2 employees were outside smoking and watching a guy riding his scooter around the back of the location...so i said ok thats why noone answered the phone well pulling further around the front another employee outside talking on her cell phone at the corner of the shopping center...so among all this i still decided to go in and order my food for me and 5 others. Well as i get in there a lady was at the register to take my order and as im looking around the place is very slow only 1 family in the building at the time. So i started giving the cashier my order i look around the cooking area and see 6 burgers sitting on the grill not cooking but just sitting on the grill no smoke no anything .....so obviously theyve been sitting a while then i see a guy come from out back and reach into the fryer basket and grab a tot and eat it....i told the lady to please cancel my order and ill go somewhere else...very very unsanitary to have burgers on the grill and not cooking or having workers reach into fryer baskets with food and eating them with their bare hands...unfortunately my family didnt get to try this location or wayback! First impressions mean everything! Soooo we went down the road about 7 minutes to culvers and enjoyed a great meal for me and my party of 6...spent about $80 at culvers that should have been spent at wayback! If i could give it zero stars i wouldve! Also made a complaint through the websit and got a email back stating the owner or manager of that location would contact me...
Read moreTo me, it is about the whole experience, and not just the food. I would give the food 5 stars. The food was fresh, and the burgers were very tasty. I love the softness of the buns they use, and the homemade chips are wonderful! If that is all that matters to you, quit reading and go get your burger. My rating of 2 stars is based on service. The manager was not happy that more customers were there ordering food within 45 minutes of them closing. When I alerted her that we had to place a big order to go for the rest of our group, she was visibly aggravated and didn’t hide it. We were informed that she had been working doubles and that they closed at 8. While we were were waiting for our food my husband submitted the To Go order from the app. We could hear and see the order printing on a ticket for her and the cook. I watched as she reviewed the ticket and got to witness her roll her eyes and cuss under her breath. After we ate and while we were waiting for our kid’s To Go order, we tried to lighten the mood by cutting jokes. She lightened up, but was still not happy about her workload. I get it, but I should never know it. I don’t like to feel like I am inconveniencing someone by ordering the food that helps to pay the employees. We spent just under $80 to feed 6 people at a burger joint, and where the food was worth it, the service will have me thinking twice before going back. It sounded like this manager and cook were overwhelmed. They workers are responsible for their actions, but the owners are responsible for the hiring of employees to ensure they are efficiently staffed with...
Read moreHere are my pros and cons. Pros: I love how they donate a percentage of sales to the Girls & Boys Club of America. I love how the food is made to order and the tater tots were nice and crunchy. Cons: This place needs better ventilation. It was so smoky in there, my eyes were starting to burn. The Philly Cheesesteak bun should be toasted, it was too soft and soggy. My biggest con of all is what I observed that knocked down my star rating. The young man was multi-tasking, which was admirable as a line started to form. However, I watched him handle food with gloves and then run to the register to check people out, take orders, and handle debit cards with the same gloves on. He proceeded to resume handling food with the same gloves on- touching the fries, making shakes, etc. When it was time for him to hand us our cups, he handled them from the tip of the cup instead of the bottom which is disgusting (esp seeing all the surfaces and items his hands touched). It defeats the whole purpose of wearing gloves. I know it's inconvenient to put them on and off or not very cost-efficient to grab new gloves, but that's the sanitary thing to do. We wouldn't want our nurses and doctors to wear gloves, use the restroom, carry on their daily duties, and then perform surgery with the same gloves on. Dramatic comparison but you get the...
