The wife and I thought we'd try a little staycation for our anniversary this year, and though Found:re looked fun and unique. Overall, it was a decent experience, but nothing amazing. What I liked: Location- close to downtown events and restaurants. We were within walking distance to Majerle's, where we ate. Staff- everyone we interacted with, from front desk to valet, were all very pleasant and kind. Clean- The room and hotel in general feel nice and clean. I never had any concern or second thought on any cleanliness issues like is so common in hotels. Comfort: The bed wasn't amazing or anything, but it was still comfortable, which is all you can ask for! Unique: As I mentioned, the artsy approach to the room was what drew us. There's good and bad to this, but overall, it made it a more memorable experience. What we didn't like: Value: Not expensive overall, but value left something to be desired. We paid for a "deluxe" room so we could have what they called a patio/balcony and a city view. In the end, the extra money went to unneeded space in a room, and a patio that was open to the back parking lot (ground level) with only a view of the back alley. Definitely not worth the extra money. We definitely felt cheated on that description. Too artsy- It almost felt like designers got together for planning meetings on the room and kept trying to outdo each other. It made for a fun atmosphere, to a point. However, it became a bit too much when it comes at the price of functionality. For example- the concrete floors. Fun look- but not so fun when it's cold outside, and you wish you had warm carpet, instead of hopping from rug to rug to avoid the cold floor. Parking- No available parking, only valet available- at an additional $25 cost that they don't publish. I definitely would have taken that into consideration when shopping for a hotel if I knew it had hidden costs involved. Fitness center- I was looking forward to the fitness center, but it was little more than a small room with some minimal equipment. Granted, this is true of many hotels, but this still left much to be desired. Noise- We could easily hear conversations in the rooms next door, and it became annoying to try to sleep after a while with the little kids next door making noise until late. We also had a cricket that wouldn't stop chirping- but I eventually found it and re:moved it. Hopefully it wasn't intended to be part of the art décor.
Overall- it wasn't a negative experience by any means. However, it wasn't enough to bring us back in the future. Maybe if we were a little more hipster or artsy, we would appreciate it enough to overlook...

Read moreThis place is absolutely beautiful. It’s like staying in a small local art gallery.
I have mainly good but also wanted to make sure to give you some suggestions when staying here.
The standard rooms are small. If you are staying for a longer period of time, there is basically 2 hangers and that’s because the closet can only hold two items and the robe in there. If you are shy and do not want to use the bathroom close to your significant other, then this is also not the place to stay. The sink is open to the bathroom side as well as the sleeping side. I do not know how to explain that any better. My husband and I both got sick from a lot of traveling over the past two weeks and lets just say, we would use the bathrooms downstairs. I think they understood this when building the place as there are about 12 bathrooms on the main floor.
I also suggest asking for a room with a view or balcony. We were overlooking the garbage dumpster and the ground and the garbage were overflowing the entire time. It was quite disgusting to be honest. When they did come to get it, it was so loud and woke us. Just ask to not be near that side.
Weird thing and this is gross.... I vacation for a living so when I say this understand I have never experienced this before. We heard the guy next to us get his wake up call - who gets wake up calls anymore - anyway - we actually heard him peeing. I sat up in bed and my husband said “yep, that’s a guy peeing”. The heels from the lady upstairs - its like being in a condo.
The thing is, we would stay here again. It’s really quite beautiful. The food was amazing - breakfast and dinner menu are beautiful, lunch was too similar to dinner so we ended up the place across the street. Food is incredibly affordable.
The room decor is amazing! Beds are super comfy. Staff was friendly. There isn’t any parking other than their 25.00 a day valet. We parked on the street most days and because this is a neighborhood, it was a little tough here and there.
Again, we would stay here again. Just take my comments into consideration when staying here. If you are one person, the standard room is fine. We just had a lot of nice clothes that had to stay in the suitcase and my make up was an issue as I had no...
