The Centrum — Local services in Pineville

This store is typically staffed well with friendly associates. The store itself is laid out well but some areas are a little bare. I'm afraid this is probably due to the internet and Best Buy concentrating on not only staying open but profitable. My interaction with the computer staff and those that are responsible for the game area up to the home security and connected devices (Google Home, etc) extremely nice and knowledgeable. There is never and I mean never anyone in the car audio area. It's a shame because they still offer nice audio upgrades, remote starting, push button ignition, back up cameras etc. Now the WORST possible place is the home theater area. Half the time the staff is busy gossiping, watching TV, or messing with their cell phones. They do have good selections and competitive pricing. Yes you may be able to purchase online and save a few dollars but the convenience of being able to touch, observe and pick up instantly is gratifying especially if you have an issue because it's so easy to get it corrected. Lula's Banh Mi & Bakery is in the Centrum, and what a find! I was hungry for a banh mi, so on a whim, I stopped in. I had their banh mi with pork belly, which was a great choice. The pork belly was meaty, with crispy bits and abundant. The veggies were lightly pickled, and both the cilantro and jalapeños were fresh, fresh, fresh! This is a huge sandwich, about 12 inches long. A meal by itself. They have a number of options for protein, including tofu, marinated pork, chicken and fish.

There is limited seating, a small counter inside, and two tables outside. It is sparkling clean, too. I will be returning sooner, rather than later...that marinated...
