I had high hopes for this "bakery", I'm a European and love savory pies, anything bread related, etc. I went to "Tous les Jours" with my mother yesterday evening, I was so excited to shop there, we got a "mocha frape" (which isn't actually a frape like the actual Greek one, but this is what they call it in the US), we really liked it though, a chocolate croissant, 3 small bite sized (supposedly savory pies) with garlic and cheese, a bigger pie with garlic and cheese (also supposedly savory) and another stuffed pie with walnuts. The walnut pie, croissant and our drink was pretty decent but the bite sized pies and the bigger one were TERRIBLE, they were supposed to be savory.... With cheese and garlic but instead they were filled with a vanilla cream???? Like what??? Who puts vanilla cream inside a garlic cheese bread/pie??? And the worst part is that when I was picking them, I was paying attention and know for sure they didn't state anywhere in the label that the pies/bread were filled with a sweet vanilla cream.... isn't this place supposed to be French? If a French person were to go there, they would get a heart attack... it was beyond disgusting and these cheese bread or pies (whatever they are) were thrown at the trash immediately... so much for paying 25$ And lastly when my mother tried to enter with a shopping cart 🛒 she was greeted by a not so friendly middle aged lady, who said "no shopping carts inside, please...." with a very unfriendly tone in her voice... I noticed many others tried to enter with their shopping carts as there wasn't a sign anywhere that stated "no shopping carts inside the bakery". So every time the lady had to tell people. The people who work there seemed very nice (except the lady), but this place is NOT a French bakery, it is a American bakery, where everything...
Read moreArrived on Saturday at 9/2/23 at 7:40PM, the shelves were practically empty and gentlemen was sweeping and cleaning (which I get close to closing time). I picked the only thing there really was left and went to cashier. Again, I totally get it was close to closing time but she was the driest cashier I have ever met. She was wiping everything and when we asked for a few drinks she said they were sold out of pretty much everything. She said they sell out pretty early on weekends and is not sure when they’ll have the drinks since they have to wait for shipment from the other store. She didn’t offer any thing else so we could buy and honestly didn’t seem at all apologetic, she seemed frustrated i was asking questions and taking time from her closing. Such a bummer because the pastry was pretty good but hate that I experienced terrible...
Read moreI have been to this location several times now. It is definitely a small location due to being inside of the larger store. Overall, I would recommend going to one of the standalone locations but if you are in the area, this will do. Their selection is not as large as the other stores. When I went this evening, it was around 5 PM and most of the food was gone at that point. This issue is not you need to this location, but it is annoying that they do not restock until the next day. This trip I got a garlic and cheese croissant and a twisted doughnut. Overall, the food was very good and high-quality. As I said, I would recommend going earlier or just go to...
