I had an extremely disappointing experience with Geek Squad at the Pineville Best Buy location. After being sent to the Steele Creek location by T-Mobile, I was told the Pineville Geek Squad was the only place in Charlotte equipped to repair iPhones besides the Apple Store. Unfortunately, the service was far from professional.
When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was assisted by Will, who was not only dismissive but also quite rude. He repeatedly walked away to help other customers without appointments, leaving me waiting. When I explained the issue with my phone, his response was to laugh and say, "I could see why that would be problematic," without offering any real empathy or support.
To make matters worse, while I was left waiting for Will in the middle of my appointment, the manager walked by, asked if I was being helped, and then did nothing to assist when I replied, “Kind of.”
After 20 minutes, Will returned to inform me that the part needed for the repair wasn’t in stock and would take five days to arrive. He suggested I leave my phone with them until then, with no clear explanation of what the issue was or why replacing the entire part was necessary.
I decided to get a second opinion at uBreakiFix. Within one minute, they cleaned out the charging port, and my phone was completely fixed—no replacement parts required.
This experience demonstrated not only a lack of technical expertise at Geek Squad but also a serious gap in customer service. I would not recommend relying on them for iPhone repairs or any...
Read moreI had an appointment on Saturday at 3:15 pm, I arrived around 3:05 pm. I was having a dash cam installed but i was told I needed an hardwire and they provided a printout of what i needed to order. I ordered said hardwire and returned at my next appointed time (3 days later) only to be told I ordered the wrong hardwire. I told Jon, who was NOT the person who assisted me on Saturday or upon my arrival on Tuesday that I ordered the part you all told me to order. I told Jon I was perturbed and I'm sure he could tell just by looking at me. However, he said his mgr would call me and he would talk to him about getting some of my money back. I left, returned to work and I realized after 4pm that no one was going to call me. That's ok, I called them....it's funny how these places take your money immediately but it always take 3 days for you to get it back. I came here to this location because a friend's husband highly recommended it. Maybe it's great for men but not for women! My time is valuable and I do not have time to be running back and forth to anyplace. I didn't even receive an apology for my inconvenience, no phone call from said manager, nothing.
