Long Overdue Review: Exceptional Stay at Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park for an extended period of time (a couple of weeks), and I feel compelled to write a long-overdue review to express my heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding service and hospitality I received during my stay. From the moment I walked through the doors to the time I checked out, every aspect of my experience exceeded expectations.
First, let me start by highlighting the incredible staff members who made my stay truly remarkable. France, at the front desk, was the epitome of professionalism and warmth. He greeted me with a smile every time I returned to the hotel and was always available to assist with any questions or requests, no matter how big or small. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond truly set the tone for the entire stay.
Claudia, who took care of breakfast services, was another standout. She brought so much energy and kindness to the morning routine, ensuring that everyone was well taken care of. The breakfast offerings were always fresh, diverse, and plentiful, and Claudia’s friendly nature made the start of each day something I looked forward to. It’s rare to come across someone who adds such a personal touch to a routine service, but she did just that.
Rahel, at the coffee shop, was equally exceptional. Her kindness and generosity really stood out during my stay. She always took the time to ask how my day was going and made sure I had everything I needed with a warm smile. Whether it was a quick coffee to start the day or a midday pick-me-up, Rahel’s welcoming attitude made every visit to the coffee shop a highlight.
Ricardo, who handled the shuttle service, deserves special recognition as well. I relied on the shuttle to take me to and from my office during my stay, and Ricardo was always prompt, courteous, and accommodating. He made sure I had everything I needed for a smooth journey and even provided helpful recommendations about the local area. His friendly demeanor and exceptional service made those shuttle rides something I truly appreciated each day.
Jose, at the bar, was absolutely extraordinary. His hospitality was second to none, and he truly made me feel welcome every evening. His warmth, attention to detail, and genuine interest in making my experience special made a big difference in how much I enjoyed my time at the hotel. Jose’s excellent mixology skills were just the cherry on top of his incredible service.
Throughout my entire stay, every staff member I interacted with displayed a level of professionalism and genuine care that made me feel more like a guest in a friend's home than a visitor in a hotel. The shuttle service was always reliable, the bar and restaurant staff were attentive without being overbearing, and the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
In addition to the wonderful people, I also want to mention the hotel’s excellent amenities and the overall environment, which provided a welcoming and relaxing space for me during my lengthy stay. The attention to cleanliness and comfort was apparent in every detail, from the spacious and well-appointed room to the inviting common areas.
If you're looking for a place that combines exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and a comfortable environment, I cannot recommend Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park enough. It truly felt like a home away from home, and I’m grateful to everyone who made my stay so enjoyable.
A special thanks to France, Claudia, Rahel, Ricardo, and Jose for going above and beyond. You all made my extended stay a memorable one, and I look forward to returning in the future!
Thank you again, Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park, for such an incredible experience. Keep up the...

We’re Hilton Diamond members and honestly I never expect anything from it, so I see no benefit in attaining it for the past few years. We get to the room and every piece of furniture is stacked in the bathroom (strange but it happens - I get it) called down to make sure it was okay to moved and the staff on duty said it was fine to move but offered us another room. Manager calls back seconds later and tells us not to touch it so she can take a picture (again totally fine) but is moving us to another room a few doors down and gives us two free drinks vouchers and appetizer/drink card which was kind. That kind gesture went really sour though when I called down to see when the bar closes (1am) and we head down there before 12:30 to find it empty of any employees. Upon inquiry to an employee mingling at the front desk, “the don’t serve at this kind of hour” when on the bar it clearly states they close at 1am like the employee earlier confirmed... okay? So, heading back up to the room I called down to confirm that they do serve till 1 to have the third employee I’ve now interacted with tell me, they close before if people stop coming whenever that is - which is pretty inconsistent honestly. I explained to her that we got the cards for having to move rooms and was told they were open till 1am. I got the verbal equivalent of a not my problem shrug and we checked out before the restaurant opens again in the morning. So, they tried with the vouchers I guess? But it fell extremely flat and it for sure just left a bad taste in my mouth of this property though after starting off as just a mild inconvenience.
Also, part of our party was Executive Level and called down to see if amenities could be replenished in the lounge area and was told it would happen immediately. Then, our party was just hanging around (not waiting completely for the snacks and drinks to be refilled) but noticed after sitting there for 3 hours not one hotel staff had entered the space. So, just to say don’t book executive level to solely experience the lounge because they won’t be breaking any necks...

Firstly, by the end of the stay we had a great experience in a pretty hotel nicely decorated with art, sculptures, beautiful urban views of the granite park boardwalk, lake, nearby urban structures etc.
My wife stayed and competed in this hotel for a body building /bikini competition. She was really excited to bring share the hotel experience with me for my birthday.
But... Birthday weekend for me and my wife wanted to surprise me with an in town getaway, time by a pool, and access to the many activities and restaurants around the legacy development. So we pack up, drive 20 miles, check in, carry our luggage to the room and BAM.. this view looking out at a wall... And an overpass... A roof of air conditioners.. whiskey, tango, foxtrot. We have a nice home in far North Dallas with a wonderful patio, landscaping, and so on. We wanted an fun getaway.
We did NOT simply need a bed with drapes drawn to avoid the awful view. For the life of me I don't understand why the desk would have checked us into that room. We looked at each other nervously, me afraid to hurt her feelings, she afraid to disappoint me. Finally we called up to the front desk and just asked, could you get us something else. You their credit they did, we loaded up too much luggage, left the third floor, back to the lobby, they gave us a room on the 8th floor facing the water and water feature. Wonderful. More like what we expected in the first place.
We booked on Hotel Tonight which we often do for last minute getaways. Never have we had this kind of experience before. I truly think we were given a way substandard room because we booked through a discount site.
Glad we gave them a chance to improve the experience. Awkward for us to even have to ask. Attaching both pictures, view from 3rd floor and view from improved 8th floor room. And a pic of me enjoying the impressive art...
