There's a lot to like about this Farmer's Market. You can find some very unique things both canned goods and dry goods at low prices. Many items are only 99 cents. Having said that please keep in mind to check your purchase very carefully because they do not offer returns and that is completely understandable. Although I didn't take pictures today I can tell you that there was plenty of staff and they have a really great courtesy policy. They indicate if you are disabled and the line is very long seek out an employee and they will find a way to help you be served in a more expeditious manner. There is fresh produce and the continuity and quality is the same or better than a chain grocery store. Again when choosing your items make sure that you've gotten exactly what you want and note the pricing because it will vary on Fresh Produce. I was surprised to find that they had a really good deal on bottled water, bleach, and there were some refrigerated Goods one of which that I feel I should mention. We've all seen the prosciutto and salami and provolone cheese groupings and I saw that they had a sufficient stack of them and they were appropriately stored in refrigeration and they were $1.99 each which is an incredible deal. Advanced note is that there is a completely voluntary tip jar for the cashiers and it's up to you whether you want to put a few coins in or a dollar to say thank you because they were very gracious to me about a boxing up my items and they had one of the gentlemen help load the Box into my cart. It's definitely worth the drive to Pompano and so far as location goes it is right next to the Festival Flea Market in the industrial center across the street. There is plenty of parking they've got lots of baskets and my recommendation would be because it's they're not selling bags bring your own bags or recyclable bags what have you because that's what's helping keep the cost low. You will find some unusual things and although they do not take food stamps and there is a 3% charge approximately on using a debit card this is what passes the savings along to you so I recommend cash whenever possible because I have yet to see any of the other stores lowering their prices and when it comes to getting things from like let's say a food distribution center you may actually get a lesser quality of item and it would be free but many grocery chains will hold on to produce or other perishable merchandise until the very last Bell Tolls and as long you are observant and wise with your choices I think you can get a...
Read moreI came here 1 time and pricing isn't as expected unless you purchase a membership. The first time I got cheese and prosciutto from the deli, I had to bring the prosciutto back because it smelled like feces. As I was talking to the manager, you would see flies all over the meat at the cutting machine. If you've seen what a fly does when it lands on food, you wouldn't want to eat it. But I don't know if maybe it was that day. So I came back and got only cheese, the guy cut it up like it was lunch meat and put it in parchment paper and a bag. When I finally went to use it, it was pretty much melted together. Couldn't use it as slices, was just a big cheese blob. The man was unboxing things so I don't even think he belonged in the deli department. Now this is the 3rd time I've come back between 2pm and 4pm and there's nothing showcased in the deli and it's closed when there's a sign on counter that clearly states deli closes at 5pm every day. It's just not worth the several drives to keep finding the deli closed and items priced at the same amount as items at Walmart across the street.
And the lines are just as long as the lines at Walmart with slow cashiers who all have a "Tip Me" cup on their register counter. Since when do cashiers at retail stores get tipped, are they being paid as tipped restaurant employees...
Read moreI just keep thinking to myself, where has this place been all my life! I mean you're not going to find a lot of organic items, but if you have a large family or a lot of people to feed at one time, then this is DEFINITELY the place for you. I got an ENTIRE PACK OF STRAWBERRIES FOR $0.99!!! The fruit looked really good some even better than the regular grocery store. I even found organic Popsicles that I usually get at Publix for almost $4 LESS!! THEY ALSO SELL FRESH JUICE THAT THEY JUICE RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU! They sell chicken, spices, and bread even the frozen gluten free kind. They actually had a few healthy vegan options as well. The only thing about this place is that's its kinda far from where I live, but WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. What I spent on fruit at Publix for almost $250 to juice my own juice, I got at this place for less than $80. And in all honesty, you could actually get everything you needed in a grocery run if you weren't being picky. I only gave 4 stars because aside from fruit, your options are limited. Also you have to eat the fruit quickly before it goes bad. EVEN WITH THAT BEING SAID...I am a...
