The reviews brought us here for a little mental health weekend from home 4 hrs away . Our first initial night was short of course so no complaints. Woke up drew back the curtains and BAM ! Black mold right above the air unit that had been on all night . Next day we woke and hit the pool . Kiddie pool was cute and seemed ok. The adult pool or the full size pool - IT WAS DISGUSTING! Water was sooo murky you couldn’t see the bottom I know this bcuz we had our dive toys sat on the ground as we were walking around it and my daughter kicked one in and welp gone it was . Then the place turned into an absolute ZOO . No staff in there to regulate the crowd . It became who can play their music loudest between groups . Lots of loud screaming and cussing when littles were present . Outside clothing worn in the pools . Unattended kids making a mess of the place . We went back to our room were the zoo had followed and crowded the halls with running and yelling from inside the rooms so loudly you can hear the people upstairs above u and the ones that occupied your halls . Biggest mistake of my “mental health “ escape was staying the last night (this past night) to account for money spent . I need another trip to help relieve the anxiety of this one . This staff seemed so worried to hold these adults accountable for themselves and their kids to ensure the money they retained. To think people come here in hope for quite suits for business trips . Not going to happen !

I love this place. My 1st visit and I'm hooked. It's the little things. Friendly staff- thanks Ross for the perfect 1st impression. Smells amazing in the lobby and elevators. Super clean. The landscaping is beautiful, and outdoor areas are clean and well kept. I like the location- hooters, longhorn steakhouse, McDonald's, taco bell, Starbucks, gas station all within 1-3 min of this hotel.. Hot Breakfast wasn't too bad- could be better than just hot, when considering flavor and variety. But still it was ok. they have a breakfast attendant serving you your hot buffet breakfast. It is thoughtful. You can dine in the breakfast room, outside patio or take it to go. The pool room is epic and spacious. Our room was a 1 king, 2 queen and this is just right for my family 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦. Spacious for our 3day stay. Room has a wetbar with a sink, mini fridge (no freezer) and a microwave.

Very nice hotel, smells good when entering the hotel and the room. We rented the jaccuzi tub king size room which was room 319. Clean but like alot of reviews on here.... maintenance issues in the bathroom seemed to be an issue in this room. The floor tile was broken and felt sometimes like the floor was going to give away. The coffee pot did not work at all. 2 cigarette burns on the jacuzzi tub. I like that the room was really big and the Jacuzzi was in a different room. The pool was amazing for the kids. I appreciate the kid area. Hotel needs more staff to help the breakfast attendant, only 1 lady trying to make eggs, waffles, pour juice. Lines were very long to get food. Close to many shops, Starbucks, State Park 15 mins away. All in all had a good stay will stay there again maybe a different room.

Noone at desk when arrived to check in. Someone finally came out to check us in but was odd to not be greeted. Noticed there was not ever anyone there as we came and went from the hotel which doesn't make you feel good secutity-wise. Who knows who could be wondering in and going up by where the rooms were? Did not feel welcomed at check in and was not given any information about pool, gym, breakfast hours, etc. The rooms are ok enough, but for what we paid would expect them to be nicer. The shampoo, conditioner, etc. was very low quality. Deadbolt on room door didn't work so could only use top lock, and phone in room didn't work. Had to go down stairs myself to the front desk (and wait for sometime to come out again..) to ask for more towels. There was no information in the room about any amenities. There was a sign that had a QR code that was supposed to link to that info, but I couldn't get it to work for me. The walls were paper thin I could literally hear every word the people next to next to me were saying and I assume they could hear me. There is no safe in the rooms also so keep that in mind if you have anything you want to lock up. The pool was freezing cold and so we could hardly use it which is dissapointing because that is one of the reasons we selected that hotel. The gym was very nice and had some good equipment available to use and was not ever busy. The area itself was nice and near multiple food options within walking distance or a short drive and was close to the highway which was convenient.

My biggest issue out of anything was from the housekeeping staff. Because of my experience with them, I would never stay at this hotel ever again. Any time I saw them in the hallways in passing during our stay, they acted strangly and shady, like they were doing something they weren't supposed to. It was a very odd vibe from them. Then on the day we were set to check out, we were aware we had until noon. At 9:30am that morning, someone starts knocking on the door loudly and woke us up, no announcement of who they were. Note that I still had the Do Not Disturb sign on the handle of my door. I was asleep so took me a mintue to wake up start walking towards the door. Before I get there, they knock few more times and then unlock the door start to attempt too enter the room. Luckily I had the top latch on and pushed the door back closed. I said "Can I help you"? All they said at that point was 'Housekeeping". I told them we were (obviously) still there. They just walked away, no sorry for disturbing you or anything like that. I had a young child with me and this frightened them that someone tried to come into our room like this. So much for getting to sleep in on our last day... Then again at 11:45am, housekeeping came back and do the same thing, and again did not announce themselves. I still had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, and we had not checked out yet. I have paid for the time to be there until noon and felt like I was being harassed or bullied to get out so they could clean the room. They should be able to see if someone has checked out, and they DEFINATELY should be announcing who they are when knocking or attemping to enter rooms at any time. Additionally, they clearly did not care that the Do Not Disturb sign was on, so how do I know they didn't enter my room when I was not there during other times of my visit? There are no safes so that makes me extra concerned about that possibility. I paid to be there through noon and unless they know I was checked out, they should not have tried to come in. I would have informed the front desk staff of this when we checked out (dropped our keys in a box by the front), but surprise, they weren't there. I also never received a final receipt. I've never had this kind of experience at a hotel. I will never stay at this hotel ever again and do not feel like I received the value for what I paid. I did not feel like a welcomed or valued guest & did not feel safe there because of the staff, specifically the...

This hotel was a huge disappointment. The only good thing I can say is that the location was convenient, it was close to the dunes and a few good spots around town, and the pool was decent. But everything else about this place was honestly awful.

The beds were ridiculously uncomfortable. I’m not exaggerating when I say it felt like sleeping on a slab of concrete. We were told they were queen size, but they were way too small. There’s no way they were anything bigger than a full. I barely was able to sleep. My back and neck hurt very bad as well.

The shower was clogged and took forever to drain, and right above it was this nasty area that looked like it had mold. It was so gross I didn’t even want to look up. There wasn’t even basic stuff in the room. No hand soap, just a tiny bar of soap (I think it was face wash, and no hair dryer. The shampoo and conditioner they provided smelled terrible and left my hair feeling sticky and greasy. The carpet in the room and hallway was filthy. Like, not just a little dirty, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. And the AC didn’t work properly. No matter how low we set it, it just stayed stuffy in the room.

Breakfast was a complete joke. There were barely any food options. They told us “the food truck has to come in” like that was a normal excuse. All they had were some sad eggs and basically nothing else. But honestly, the worst part was the woman working the breakfast area. She hovered around like a hawk, watching everything people did. She actually told my nephew he was taking too much bacon when he had barely taken any. Then when we went to make waffles, she told us she’d do it herself because she “didn’t want us to make a mess.” She made everyone uncomfortable, and I heard other guests talking about how rude she was too. It felt like she didn’t want anyone to eat. I could go on about her but I won’t.

The pool and hot tub were the only saving grace. The water was nice, and the pool was a good depth. But even that had issues, there were hardly any towels, so we had to drip dry or share.

The front desk staff wasn’t any better. They weren’t welcoming or helpful. Every interaction felt like we were bothering them. Overall, this place was a mess. Between the uncomfortable beds, dirty conditions, terrible breakfast, and rude staff, I would not recommend staying here to anyone. The location doesn’t make up for everything else being so bad. Definitely not worth the money. I’m not sure how they have such...

The kiddie pool was not working during our 3day stay. The pool looked murky and the hot tub had brown stuff on the suds layer one of the days. There weren’t any fresh baked chocolate cookies out each evening for guests and when I asked the lady at the front desk she said no we don’t have cookies. There weren’t guest bags filled with water and a snack each day. I saw one at the front desk once. The first room we were given smelled like cigarette smoke when we opened the door, so then I had to lug the cart back downstairs to ask for another room. We were given another room with no problem, however that room smelled like a gym locker, but I didn’t ask to change rooms again, I just sprayed some perfume. Since I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, I know that it has been run much better than this because everything I stated above they’ve done better with maintaining the place and the cookies, water/snack bags have been there for guests or if I asked they made some fresh cookies and told us to come back. The lady that I spoke to about the cookies I maybe have seen one other time. I get that it’s something as simple as fresh baked cookies and guest bags, but when you know they’ve had them in the past you expect to continue to receive them during your stay. Plus, I know if something breaks down there’s only so much that can be done to fix things sometimes depending on how broken they are. But when your kids are mainly looking forward to being in the kiddie pool and it doesn’t work for the entire stay that is a HUGE disappointment. Like I said I’ve stayed here with my kids multiple times and during those times we’ve had great experiences and other times like this one where the hot tub was out of order the entire time, the kiddie pool was closed twice before this experience as well for maintenance purposes. Also, since this time I had reservations that were not able to be cancelled/nonrefundable, after getting a text approx. 2 hrs before arriving that the kiddie pool out of order for approximately 2 days I was really disappointed because I couldn’t change plans, I took a half day off of work, and it was out of order for the duration of our stay. So, overall this was the the worst experience I’ve had at the hotel because of everything I...
