Where to start first I place an online order at 7:28 it said my order will be ready at 8:01. When I went in to check in after 8:10 I was told it will be another 20 mins for my order to be ready. Came back in at 8:30 and had to wait another 15 min for the rest of my order the fried pickles. As I was waiting there was over 10 tables that wasn't clean off (from the view at the door). There was hardly anyone at the tables eating and guest who shown up was told they will have over 30 min wait to be seated. Also those who order to go order was told they will have over 30 mins wait for their order. While I myself wanted from start to finish over an hour and 15 mins. Not to mention when I finally received my order, I checked to make sure I had everything, which I did. After getting home and opening up my fried pickles the last order I had to wait to be finished was extremely over cook. Like someone put the pickles in the microwave for over an hour. Dried, burnt, and unrecognizable, with no favor other than disappointment for the long wait and terrible service brought by this restaurant management team and owner for allowing this to continue to happen. I do not know who had failed, the hostess who refused to seat anyone, the bus boys who failed to clean up the tables, the cooks who clearly don't know how to cook, I will not trust them to cook a frozen pizza, the management, or all of the above. After seeing the number of complaints this restaurant has been receiving, one thing is clear; is that the management team is quick to issue an apology. Yet, they haven't acted to fix the number of issues that was brought up the past months. As a person who grew up and continue to live in Portage. I was once excited to see this restaurant open. Now I'm more than happy to count the days, and will be more than glad to see the doors close for good at this restaurant. It failed the chain, city of Portage, their crew, and customers. And it clearly shows that this management and crew have no Pride! Update: The manager on duty, helped by refunding the fried pickles, without any push back.

We have been here a few times over the past 6 months and our experience never changes. The wings are mediocre. The only thing that is "good" on their menu is the pretzels and cheese the rest is horrible. I always try to order something new each time and I am always disappointed in the quality of their food. This is the worst hooters I have ever been to. Service is so slow. I seriously cannot express this enough. They can be completely dead and you will still be waiting over an hour for your food to arrive cold. Last night we decided to order online and take it back home. I placed the order at 6:48 PM. Was told the food will be ready around 7:15 PM. We arrived at 7:20 and it wasn't ready. Best part? It looked like the rushed and put our order in as we arrived! We didn't leave with our food until close to 7:45 PM It wasn't even busy! It was dead in there people were just standing around.. I live about 5 minutes away, Once we got home my food was cold. The cheese for the pretzels look like it was sitting for a while, The chicken tacos were the worst. They were soggy and basically Pico and tortilla with a tiny slice of chicken (see attached photo) However I was shocked that the only thing that was decent were their wings tonight. Which normally aren't even that great compared to other hooters restaurants. They were warm by time we got home too so that only makes me assume the other half of our order was ready and just sitting their the whole time. Who knows. The pretzels were also burnt too... So disappointed. Not worth the $45. We will not be coming back to this location again, Lesson learned. Which I got a photo of the pretzels... But here is a photo of the tacos. -_-

We sat at a bar level table not too far from the bar that had a game playing on the TVs, and our waitress arrived shortly after we sat down. The issue I have is that the tables around us had not yet been cleaned off and I know the table we were sitting at wasn’t cleaned as well as it should have been cleaned because it felt sticky and there was still food on it. I understand it’s a busy Saturday night and it’s crowded so you gotta move quick but the tables were dirty for well over 10 minutes before someone finally came to clean off the tables. Who wants to order food with dirty tables around them? The bathroom wasn’t that clean and there were some used paper towels on the floor. Anyway, it didn’t take long for us to get our food after we ordered our drinks which was good. Of course the waitresses were absolutely gorgeous. After we were done eating and waiting for the bill, a group of loud teenage boys came in with McDonald’s and sat down to eat. They actually were allowed to come in Hooters with McDonald’s. Overall I liked the food and the atmosphere, but I probably won’t be coming back because my son and husband could barely focus on their food because of all the beautiful waitresses.

I went to Hooters with an easy-going party of 5. We were aware it was busy when we arrived, and were open to waiting for a table. Hostess was extremely kind and made sure we were seated right away. Our drinks were given to us for free because they had no plastic cups clean, which was a nice perk! We ordered appetizers, and things seemed to be going well. It was busy, so we waited a while for our appetizers, but we were understanding of that. However, when our appetizers came out, our waitress put them on the table, and did not take our orders. In fact, we did not see her for about 40 minutes. No refills, no taking orders, no clearing plates. We brushed it off, knowing it was very busy. We finally ordered, and once we did, we did not see or hear from our waitress for about another 30-40 minutes. When she finally made an appearance, she said, “Oh… your food has been ready, I just forgot to hand it out, I’ll be right back with that.” She returned with half of our food, both orders wrong. My chili cheese fries had no cheese, and my friends burger was wrong. I explained this to the waitress who said she would have my order remade. She came back with the same fries, and the other orders about 15 minutes later, when my other friend was done eating. During those 15 minutes, I had been trying to flag her down, however she was busy yelling and partying with her coworkers and prioritizing regulars. I understand why she might do that, however as a server, she should have given us equal treatment. We are all good tippers, but didn’t tip very well due to the lack of attention and messed up orders. When she returned, my food was cold. I explained this calmly and she apologized, but didn’t really offer anything in return. When we finally got our checks, my ticket was luckily comped, but I found the whole experience really disappointing. If the food isn’t good, we at least come for the girls/ambiance… and vice versa. When neither is good? Or even mediocre? The entire experience is overpriced and a waste of time. We spent much longer than we wanted to at our table, and received below average service. Maybe I’m missing something, or we did something wrong? Either way, the experience here was really awful; I could tell our table was not the only ones having an increasingly bad time. I must say I’m so disappointed in the service over here in Portage!!!! I am an ex hooter girl F.O.H Trainer i I only expected great service I must say the hooter girl herself was great her name is Taylor . May I say we were the first ones at the door the business was not open we waited we sat we ordered our dreams and our appetizer appetizer came out before our drinks they brought me a bloody Mary never even mixed it finally our drinks came about four minutes five minutes after our appetizer mind you again we were the first ones there After an hour and 10 minutes of waiting and me watching five other tables eat their food and leave and we were still sitting I then asked to speak to a manager I pregnant manager came and spoke with us after I told her what was going on she said she would go check she comes back with crab legs and some fries I told her that was not our table again she took it to another table they got their food before us as she walked away she yelled out oh my God Jesus the girls in the back gave it to me to give to you So then I asked for the general manager he didn’t deed fix everything but the point was I was so excited to have Hooters right next to my house and now I’m so disappointed that I have to still travel all the way to Merrillville to go I think they need to retrain manager and staff to help along to make sure that the food is going out to the right tables as well as finding out why it took so long we never got that answer again so disappointed in this so then I asked for the general manager he didn’t deed fix everything but the point was I was so excited to have routers right next to my house and now I’m so disappointed that I have to still travel all the way to Merrillville to go I think they need to retrain manager and staff to help along to make sure that the food is going out to the right tables as well as finding out why it took so long we never got that answer again so disappointed in this I must say the general manager Nick was very professional and took care of the problem instantly but there’s a lot of work to be done guys come on you guys are...
