Taco Bell — Restaurant in Portland

Does every race hate Black people? I was unfairly judged by a Mexican man at this location. What an unpleasant experience! I got the vibe like he was treating me like a suspect when I was an inconvenienced paying customer. It was so horrible! We intermittent fast and eat only once a day; you can imagine our hunger. We ended up eating extremely late and ordered $28 dollars and some change worth of food. The confusion was understandable. There possibly was a language barrier, and we ordered two number 8’s but different ways. After getting back to the hotel, we realized they messed up one order. The nacho fries were so cold we put them in the dog bowl and our pitbull didn’t even want them. We put our clothes back on and headed back to the store within the hour. Once there, we were greeted with unsatisfactory customer service. We were told that if we couldn’t find our receipt that our order could not be pulled up and we could not be helped. We then found the receipt and were told that we came hours ago. He said you came at 9:57 and we were back before 11:00. I ate my food and we had to get re-dressed. We were treated as if we were trying to pull a scam or something after spending almost 30 dollars. I was told there was no manager at the location and even with the receipt he was trying not to serve me. I became angry and we got into a verbal altercation. He closed the window, locked it, and waved me off. After seeing that I would not leave and the line started to back up, he gave me my order, which coincidentally was still messed up. Spent over 33$ on food and could offer me a free ice water. The worker taking my order was nothing short of rude! It’s 104 degrees outside. Day 5 of this heat wave. He claims they are low on ice and only offering ice to people who purchase sodas. Doesn’t ask me if I’d like to pay full price. Doesn’t ask me if I want some water without ice. Claims the ice machine is broken. Well I get that. But have better customer service and compassion when letting people know. Offer me a bottle water. Doesn’t tell me my total at the screen nor does he read my order back. I said this to him and he told me it’s my job to read the screen. Well the sun is glaring at the screen and customers can’t read it. Then doesn’t offer me any sauce. I tell him he didn’t offer my and says to me “it’s your job to ask” the only Taco Bell I’ve been to that speaks to customers like this. Sorry your having a bad day. But I didn’t make you work there. I was kind when ordering using all the appropriate manners. I’ve been in the food industry for over 30 yrs. And would never allow an employee to speak to a customer like this. With out customers like me who spend their hard earned money to purchase food there. You people wouldn’t have jobs. Do better!! On 7/23/35 I went thru drive up and placed an order specifically breakfast burrito with egg cheese and potato along with a bean and cheese burrito. I got my order and drive off Noticing the breakfast burrito packaging was odd I looked at the order sticker because they NEVER GIVE YIU YIUR RECEIPT in the morning shift.

I called the Hayden island Portland Oregon 97217 location to report my order was wrong and the lady could not understand what I was saying and argued with me about what I order I can’t eat meat so why would I even order sausage crunch wrap!!!!!! Thien she hung up on me, I will be calling the corporate office in Irvine California where I have someone I know to report the morning employee. Not to mention they ask if you want to round up the order and can not explain where that money goes to and again no receipt ever from the morning staff being a woman who sounds clueless honestly.

Store management please talk to your employees on proper etiquette of basic customer service.
