If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Their management couldn’t be more sleazy if they tried. I booked a stay directly on their website. In effect saving them the added costs of a booking service. When I checked in, they even thanked me for doing so. When I got to my room, I was stunned at what I saw. The room was the old housekeeping closet that they converted into a room. We barely had any room to turn around much less enjoy our stay. This was, by far, the worst room I have ever been in. The bathroom was tiny with zero space to put anything around the sink. I’m not a big guy, but I could barely fit into the cubicle sized shower. When you look at all the other rooms, they had 2 big windows facing the front. Our room had a tiny window they cut into the side wall. It was about 1/4 the size of one of the windows in every other room. The light was off center in the room because it was centered in the housekeeping closet. And, on top of all that, the walls are paper thin. I heard everything that went on next door. The whole experience was horrible and ruined my girlfriend’s birthday weekend. If you want to play Russian roulette with your vacation, be my guest. I will never step foot on that property again.

Clean typical motel style room with a Keurig and a mini fridge. The mini fridge in our room is on its last legs and has woken me up every two hours. It is really loud. You can hear other people snoring and talking through the walls. One of these things is simpler to solve and way more unpleasant as a guest. Hotel cost $185 for the night and my main antagonist was a mini fridge. Get a new fridge that doesn't leak and sound like a plane getting ready for takeoff. It's walking distance from everything if you like to walk. The location works for us. The Daikin mini split is a nice touch. I like to sleep when I stay in hotels, preferably without earplugs, so I don't think I could stay here again. Update: told the person at the desk that the fridge was loud and she told me that I could have unplugged it. As if a fridge doesn't leak all over the place when it's unplugged. As if it doesn't matter that we should be able to use the fridge as paying guests. Total dump mentality and totally unapologetic

The staff were excellent, super nice and helpful! and the appearance was tidy at first glance. However, the cleanliness was very concerning. I noticed germs everywhere, even on the controller, and there was mold in the bathroom. The vending machine didn’t accept dollar bills or credit cards. I had to go to the front desk three times just to get a cold drink. Thankfully, the staff was able to help, but they only had $3 worth of quarters left. The pool also appeared poorly maintained, the bottom was stained and the water had unusual bubbles. Breakfast was disappointing. There were no proper plates for preparing oatmeal, and the selection was very limited. Offering granola bars, danishes, or a wider variety of muffins would make a big improvement. This place is simply wonderful. All of the staff except one small angry man in the morning who accosted me for actually walking into the lobby after having politely asked for a mask. Maybe if one has a mask policy and is providing masks for free, THANK YOU Cape Colony, put the free masks near the door so those who may have forgotten theirs or misplaced it can grab one before having to walk to the counter. Notwithstanding this event, every other interaction with workers at this hotel was fabulous. As a male it continues to amaze me that in every aspect of business WOMEN are better, kinder and more professional. The workers working here are awesome and polite. The rooms are exceptionally well kept and the fact dogs are welcomed is simply great. This trip for us was a PTown trip as we tend to be Eastham folks however when we return to PTown the Cape Colony is the place we will stay. We did get the Queen suite and for me although the refrigerator cabinet with drawers was slightly helpful I think a more medium size refrigerator and a cart for the microwave and the coffee pot might be more functional the next time you folks renovate which I know will be years away. Listen world; don’t book this hotel on some 3rd party site as I have learned from a lot of these, business in PTown. First it’s so hard to keep things in stock, trucks and Amazon like where you are coming from is not the same, really it’s the end of the world there are physical and area of size limitations. However these People Work SO Hard, there wonderful, they make your stay pleasant and ALL you do when you use these APPS, when this place is SO AFFORDABLE ON ITS OWN, is HURT the people and establishments that MAKE Provincetown SO WONDERFUL. Thank you I am Robert C. Ayala, my spouse and I Ms. Amy Wagner would recommend this place to anyone. We love...

Our family recently stayed 2 nights at the Cape Colony Inn. Overall, the hotel is nice and I would definitely return and stay again. Front desk staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The check-in process was easy. It is close enough to the center of town, but far out enough that it is quiet and peaceful. Public transportation goes by about every 30 minutes, and is free for the summer months. The free continental breakfast was just good and the coffee was pretty decent also. As far as the rooms, they do appear to be recently renovated. Unfortunately I did find dried up urine at the base of our toilet, hair on the toilet tank, and also hair in the shower. I always travel with wipes, so I cleaned it up myself and didn't make a fuss about it. Cleaners are human and I do believe they just missed it. We did also notice dark stains in the carpet by the door. Dogs are welcome, and the stain could be from an animal defecting by the door; but I didn't let it bother me. We just kept our flip flops on the entire time, no bare feet. Our kids refused to use the pool because the water has a greenish hue to the water. I checked it out myself, and the water was clear, but the bottom of the pool is not the cleanest. This hotel uses a robotic vacuum, but the pool could use a good human scrub in the corners. I also noticed a cement wall inside the pool is crumbling and cracked. The pool is surrounded by beautiful flowers and stamped concrete, but could probably use a new liner. We have a pool at home, and the weather was a bit cool, so my kids were not disappointed that they did not use the pool. It would be nice see flowers near the rooms. The exterior of the buildings are very basic but clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return and recommend the Cape Colony...

This was my first visit ever to Provincetown and ultimately I'm glad Cape Colony was where I stayed. What ultimately started with me using a new and poorly functioning discount travel site, Agoda, ended up being the right choice, but through a bad travel portal. I got a reservation but Agoda didn't give my proper billing address, nor my request for a dog friendly room. The room charges would not go through and ultimately, I had to call the hotel myself and give my credit card information directly to the front desk. A week before my booking I realized the reservation didn’t mention a dog friendly room. Fortunately the GM, Steven, was able to switch some things around and accommodate me, which I appreciatd. He was also able to extend my reservation by one day. The weather was so nice that I decided to stay longer. If you're a couple or traveling single I highly recommend the king bed rooms. I had to do a little work during my trip and the extra space and table made for a good place to do that. It was a nice 20 minute walk to the center of all the action in Provincetown. The pool was clean. The rooms were clean and comfortable. You can bring your dog - just make you sure you get a dog friendly room. The staff and cleaning team were friendly, too. My only suggestions were maybe to offer a balanced medium roast coffee at the free breakfast. I was happy to have a Keurig in the room as another option because that breakfast coffee in the lobby was really charred tasting to me. I know some people like that but a medium roast might be enjoyed by more people. Fortunately they had a decent med roast Keurig pod in the rooms. I enjoyed my stay. It's reasonably priced. Enjoy the beautiful walk to town for you food and...
