For over 20 years, a visit to the Rice Polak Gallery has become a ritual during my annual trip to Ptown. I have lost track of the number of paintings and pieces of art I have acquired from the gallery over the years, and I have never regretted a single purchase, in fact, my appreciation of each piece grows. Each year, I enjoy visiting to see the new works by the artists I have come to enjoy, to see which new artists Marla has added to the gallery, and which piece speaks to me, and something always does. Read moreI absolutely love Rice Polak and its owner, Marla Rice. It is among the first places I go every summer when I get to Provincetown. Marla curates the most interesting collection of artists and in my many years of visiting Ptown, I have never failed to buy a piece of art from her. From Bradshaw to Arvidson to Mirabelli, I feel like my home has become a Washington outpost for Rice Polak - and I love it. Marla herself is reason enough to visit the gallery. She is absolutely delightful - personable, charming, knowledgeable, and never pushy. Rice Polak is always my gallery of choice and I highly recommend a stop there as part of anyone's visit to Provincetown. And be sure to visit the upstairs and explore the stacks - always filled with...
Read moreI have been going to Rice Polak gallery for many years. Provincetown is filled with fine art galleries that carry on the town's tradition of over a hundred years as an art colony and Rice Polak is one of the finest. I have purchased works there, as have many of my friends. They have a great stable of local and fine artists from all over the country. I can highly recommend this gallery to anyone interested in art. The blocks of Commercial Street around Rice Polak in the East End, are filled with many galleries worth a visit. If you're in Provincetown, don't miss out on the opportunity to visit the galleries here along with the Provincetown Art Museum. It is a...
