I’ve been coming to this Marriott for a while now, and I can confidently say Lauren is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered. From the moment I walk in, I’m greeted with a smile and the kind of service that makes me feel like a regular.
When it comes to cocktails, Lauren absolutely knows her stuff. She crafts the best martinis I’ve ever had — always perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of dryness and a touch of class. Plus, if I’m ever in the mood for something a bit different, she is happy to customize a drink that perfectly suits my taste.
But it’s not just the drinks. The food is another highlight. Lauren doesn’t just serve the usual menu items — she's great at making recommendations or even customizing something based on my preferences. Whether I’m in the mood for something light or a bit heartier, she always comes through with the perfect suggestion and the Chef, Jose, is a rockstar! He makes me the best West Coast version of a Pittsburgh Salad.
On top of all that, the conversation is top-notch. It’s not just about pouring drinks; Lauren knows how to hold a great conversation and make me feel like I’m more than just another customer. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely connects with their guests like this.
If you're looking for not only great drinks and food, but a genuinely welcoming and engaging experience, Lauren and Jose are the reason to keep...
Read moreWe arrived around 1150pm on a Saturday. The first room we entered had a smell, sort of a pet / smoke smell covered by carpet cleaning chemical smell.
Front desk lady was accommodating and gave a second room. This room we were given had not been cleaned. The bed was unmade, towels wet and by the front door as you walked in, the trash can was full.
I tried to iron my shorts and the iron did not work. I went to the from desk to get a working iron. The front desk representative gave me a iron that was in a cabinet behind the desk. I got back to my room and this iron did not work either. I took both down to the front desk to let them know that both don't work. The same man then said he would bring me a new one. I recieved a new one within 5 minutes
The TV is cutting in and out like we are in a storm. The signal seems to be weak or broken every 15-60 seconds and the screen goes black for one second. Room 430.
Overall this has been the worst the facility looked in the several years I have been coming to this Marriot location. Carpets in the elevators are super dirty. Carpets in the hallways have never had so many items not vacuumed up. The hotel went to soaps in the shower vs the small versions. The soap holders look like they were installed by a unprofessional handyman. The caulk looks like a motel 6 or below when these were installed; no quality...
Read moreOverall, the hotel is well kept and the housekeeping is efficient and the concierge friendly. There were a couple big misses though that soured my stay a bit.
During my entire 2 week stay there the workout room was 80-90 degrees, rendering it unusable for anyone except maybe Floridians. Working out in the morning is a very important part of my daily routine so not having access to an acceptable space for that long was very disappointing and I don't think my downstairs neighbor appreciated the jumping-jacks I had to resort to in lieu of a proper workout. I mentioned it to the front desk several times throughout the first week and was repeatedly told it was going to be fixed but it never was. I gave up asking after the first week and just poked my head in every morning for the second week but there was no change. Overall, the entire hotel seemed a bit on the warm side. I can understand if the AC goes out for a couple days, but 2 weeks is just not acceptable.
Also when I moved into my room, there were little pieces of ceiling plaster and dust on the floor and a spot where it seemed a smoke alarm had been removed. The next day a maintenance guy came in to put in the new alarm and clean up. I appreciate that they are maintaining their systems, but I would have also been more forgiving if the repair-in-progress had been communicated to me...
