I was pleasantly surprised with this place. It was walking distance from my hotel, and my healthy options were limited within the vicinity, so this was really the next best thing. The nutritious options were varietal within their vegetarian dishes. Debating between the falafel wrap and the paneer plater, I decided to ditch the crabs (wrap) and opted into choosing that platter, that was accompanied with seasoned grilled paneer (unaged cheese, a popular Indian dish) with a bed of basmati rice, assorted grilled vegetables (purple onions, squash, zucchini, bell pepper), a small Greek salad as a side, and house made hummus with pita bread. To my surprise, the grilled paneer was REALLY good. It was perfectly grilled, giving you an ample taste of the char from the press, with a very flavorsome seasoning. It was a bit salty, but nothing intolerable. The basmati rice was also well made. Not plain rice, but again, a well seasoned rice that I believe was made with turmeric, along with some other Mediterranean spices. The hummus was good, and you could tell it was freshly prepared, that came with warm, right out of the oven pita bread. While I was satisfied with the food, I was also very content with the cleanliness of this place. While I walked in, the person at the register was cleaning and sanitizing pretty much anything and everything he could get his hands on. He was super sweet and friendly. Great prices for the quality and amount of food you're getting. My only minor complaint was that it took a mere 20 minutes to get my order ready, and I was the only one in the restaurant however, I appreciate the food being prepared made to order, as opposed to bulk prepared food and letting it sit to server as customers come in. On my next visit, I will come for cheat day and give the falafel...

Today's adventures brought me to Pita Street, a Mediterranean cart style restaurant. For starters, when you walk in the place smells amazing. The menu is clear and features pictures of a few choice items.

I ordered the Kebab Street Plate which includes one chicken kebab, and one ground sirloin kebab over basmati rice with sautéed veggies, Mediterranean salad, hummus and pita bread. Upon ordering I was told there would be a seventeen minute wait for the food. There was a dining room full of guest and no food in front of them, so I was hesitant, but decided to order anyway.

To my surprise, the food came out EXACTLY seventeen minutes later, hot and fresh. The chicken was incredible and I enjoyed every bite of it over warm pita bread dressed with savory garlic aioli and taziki sauce. Unfortunately, the ground sirloin was somewhat dry, and I personally wasn't a fan of the seasoning.

As for the sides, the hummus was glorious. It was full of flavor with a drizzle of olive oil. Delicious! The basmati rice was okay, nothing special to write about.

Next time I'd skip the beef altogether and go straight for the chicken wrap.

Super yummy. We love the chicken kabob and the spicy garlic fries. My husband and I often share the meal. But if you're hungry get two wraps and split the fries. We often get extra garlic and tahini as our 2 free sauces and add the purple turnips for a small additional charge. This place has easily become an Ontario favorite 😍 if we are on this side of town we are pretty much coming here.

The bathrooms have a changing table and they have high chairs so kid friendly. I lowered the atmosphere level bc the bathrooms have a icky sewer smell. But I do like the flame like lamps. 👍 and the booths are pretty comfy.

Service has been good overall. We did have one girl that's a bit rude but I don't think she's doing it intentionally I think the mask she wears makes it hard to hear or understand her and her eyes look like she could shoot eye daggers at you and you WILL die but I think it's more of something she's not aware she doing versus being...

Pita Street has two locations. There is one in Ontario and the other in Eastvale. I recently went to the Ontario location for lunch, and the food was was really good. And the prices were even better! Pita Street is a mediterranean restaurant that serves traditional Middle Eastern dishes. I had the shawarma beef and chicken combo plate that came with grilled vegetables, yellow basmati rice, hummus, and pita bread. The chicken and beef were tender and juicy, with lots of flavor. The rice was light and airy (I wish I could cook rice like this at home). Located just north of the Ontario Mills, off 4th street, Peta Street is in the same shopping center with a cuban restaurant and Famous Dave's BBQ. I highly recommend this place. The staff is friendly. The dining room is modern, wide open, and clean. The food and prices are good as well. Check this place out.
