This is actually a 5 star review but I wanted to get everyones attention because i have NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN TREATED SO POORLY BY 1 STAFF MEMBER. My wife and I were in between apartments and read the great reviews this property had. So we chose to spend a hefty amount and stayed from November 30th - December 12th. I also got a manager approved late checkout at 2pm due to I would need to do a few trips between hotel and new apartment and since we had 2 cats here as well, we wanted to make sure that it was as least stressful on the pets as possible. Well Andrew at the front desk was beyond rude, (and that's putting it nicely) he first told my wife at around 140 that it was time for her to leave and before she could talk to him he hung up on her. My wife then calls me crying because of what had happened so then I called the front office to let them know that I was minutes away and while I was trying to make rhyme or reason out of what was happening, Andrew just talked louder and OVER me and would not let me talk at all and then hung up on me. When I got there he immediately followed me to our room and I asked him if he could move back as he was making my already upset and visibly distraught wife more upset. Andrew decided to move closer and cut the distance in half. (UNBELIEVABLE) My wife in tears said well thanks for ruining our stay he said quote "Not a problem your welcome" and continued to stay right on our heels as we were shooed and rushed out of this establishment. Previous to this he wouldnt talk to my wife and let her see if a shuttle was available because she works at the IKEA just down the street from the Hotel and he ignored her and walked off and never returned. Luckily her co worker came and picked her up otherwise she would have had to walk to work. I never in my life thought that after spending at least $1000 at this location in Renton WA that Andrew supposedly being a customer service representative would treat his guests as such ..apparently not. Even after all of our stuff was on the luggage carts and outside he continued to stand outside and watch me load everything and watched as another girl helped me load my stuff that wasnt a co worker here. I am still so mad and disgusted with him I am at a loss for words other than I hope this company lets him go before his antics cause more trouble. I MEAN WHERE DOES ONE GET OFF HANGING UP ON THEIR CUSTOMERS OR WHEN A CUSTOMER ASKS NICELY CAN YOU PLEASE STEP BACK YOUR MAKING MY WIFE NERVOUS AND THEN YOU MOVE CLOSER AND CUT THE DISTANCE IN HALF WHILE WATCHING YOUR CUSTOMERS EVERYMOVE FROM THE HOTEL ROOM TO OUTSIDE AND BACK TO THE ROOM LIKE WE HAD STOLE SOMETHING. Andrews lack of professionalism... wait scratch that Andrews lack of common sense and lack of the simple ability to treat his Employers guests as human beings, regardless if they spent around $1000 like us or less he should not be anywhere near this property. He is a bad apple with a very very bad know it all attitude and F U attitude. With that said Helen and the rest of the staff SIMPLY AMAZING AND OUTSTANDING HELEN WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR AS WAS THE REST OF THE STAFF 6 STARS FOR ME. There wasnt one thing I would reccomend that any of the rest of the staff should change other than to get that bad apple out of there. I can only imagine how he may treat some of his fellow women staff if when I asked him kindly to step back because he was making my already upset and shaking wife nervous and he steps closer? Literally cutting the distance in half and then proceeds to follows us. I can only pray that no one at this property will have to deal with him again. As a husband it took everything in my 6ft 240lb body not to do what I wanted to do , but that is not how civilised people act or treat one another. To Helen and the rest of the staff OUTSTANDING XOXOXO 6 stars! and you were wonderful. My wife and I would love to come and spend that complementary night in your finest room once that apple is gone....
Read moreThe management here… especially the nasty older woman there me and my partner out of the hotel and we had never seen her before. The police a victims advocate folks helped us to find the Larkspur. Secluded with not much traffic even given the other 3 hotels. Our stalker had stolen our things including our wallets and we moved all of our money over to a friends account who is a disabled vet who has been like an angel and seeing us through this. She was stashing our money for us in a separate account and unfortunately ended up in the hospital for a stent which encompassed the day we needed to renew our stay. We went to Everrett that morning to get the debit card she had the money on when we got a call from the wretched and bitter woman telling us that even though we had already spoke with the the night staff from the night before and the early morning staff and informed them of the plan and all was ok that we had 30 minutes to turn around and get out of the room because we hadn’t renewed our stay. We were pretty devastated and scared and not to mention I had just had kidney surgery not two days before for two stones blocking my right ureter and was wearing a stent. We went back to the room and packed everything up and I called the Seattle police to let them know what happened what we should do about our meeting that day to discuss next steps in the retrieval of my things and how do I ensure mine and my partners safety. They said stay there and we will call back asap as we may be able to strategize over the phone. Not 1 minute later, the wicked witch of the larkspur came banging on the door screaming EDWIN, EDWIN, where’s … hey why are you still in this room and I said we’re packed up but waiting in the room for the police to get here. She said why are the police coming. I said I’m sorry ma’am but I’m not at liberty to discuss those details with you as they are extremely sensitive and personal. She said fine we’ll see about that. Not 3 min later the police are banging at my door screaming at me that I was wasting their time and my time and everyone’s time and what was I gonna do now, I mean I waiting on the police and here they were. I looked at the in the face rolled my eyes and said are you kidding me, I’m waiting on the Seattle police. They were trying to catch me squatting at which point I politely pointed out yet again that we were packed up - the main officer said we had 10 min move it or lose it. At that point I didn’t even want to be there anymore than they wanted me. But that bitty who needed love in her life was out there just laughing and having a good time with the good ole boys club. I began to hurt. The police officer asked what happened and I explained to him about the surgery. He also seemed how much we had loaded up and asked us how we got all of that into the room in one night and I said well we’ve been here for a month and his mouth fell open. a month? I said yes sir we arrived on such such date. He said oh my God I’m so sorry we were to believe that you just got here last night. I said no sir two weeks and two days ago I had surgery. He said can I get you some help? I said I think we got it. He said I’ll help you out to the car. It was then that it clicked why she had done that and that was because we’ve been there over 14 days and according to Washington state law you are a tenant and she was trying to kick us out without having to evict. She had ran from the site while we were moving with a police officer told her workers she should get her story straight and not lie to the police next time she has an issue that she is unable to handle. Police officer said that that hateful woman had me trespassed from the property because I refused to leave. All of it was a lie Whenever you do pick somewhere else to stay, do not stay at this ratchet hotel with that horrible woman I’m still working on the email to the owners which I got the name of from the...
Read moreOur first stay in April, we checked in and our door key didn’t work. So they moved us to a small room due to no availability. I ended up getting charged for the original room and the one with a working door, BOTH rooms. The desk clerk said they couldn’t do anything about it because I booked with a 3rd party. I was too exhausted to fight it, having twin seniors in high school and a senior at UW graduating… a busy time. I payed the double charge and gave them a 2nd chance in June for my daughter’s graduation from UW, for which there was 60k in Seattle for that event and for a World Cup event which booked all hotels within a large radius of the city. ||I made 2 reservations. One of my kids stayed with her friend so my son and I had a smaller room and I got a bigger room with my 2nd reservation to accommodate my daughter. I called the hotel directly to make sure I wouldn’t get double charged again for 3rd party booking. Called 1st time for rates, 2nd time to book and 3rd time because I forgot to give my C.Card #. 3rd call, the lady was annoyed with me and in a rude way said, “I already emailed you your confirmations ma’am.” ||Checked in Thurs - Friday nite, no problem. Saturday we braved all the people, traffic dinners and traveling around UW, we picked up my daughter up north. After making it back to Renton and picking up some items at the landing and Fred Meyer it was 10:30 pm before we got back to the hotel. Exhausted, I started bawling when they told me and my family that they cancelled our 2nd reservation!! There were no other places… after the manager stopped blaming me, saying I didn’t leave a card on file (their reason for canceling me) she told me there was a room 4 miles away and I better call and leave quick before it gets snatched up due to all the events in Seattle. The clerk says, “well since you have that prior issue too, I won’t CHARGE YOU FOR TONIGHT.” I thought what the heck? You DID have my card on file. THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME FOR THEM CANCELLING MY RESERVATION without my knowledge!!! I asked why they didn’t call and let me know they un-did my reservation they made with me and confirmed…. I began to pull up my email confirmation. Right then she said “you should have known we sent you an email.” Like I am checking my email during my vacation and my daughter’s graduation and spending time with family I haven’t seen in 20 years. Plus I already had a confirmed reservation. So basically they made the reservation and then un-made it, and gave my room to someone else. Homeless in Seattle and tired, we contemplated driving home over 2 mountain passes in the middle of the night. We ended up all piling into my daughter and son in laws room and slept on the floor. I was floored that they were mad at me for Larkspur canceling my reservation that I had secured. And they were still going to charge me for the room and they double charged me (and didn’t downgrade the price to the downgraded room) for THEIR room door lock being broken||My advice if you HAVE to stay here is to call the front desk for your reservations. Then if you stay more than 1 night, make sure every morning that they aren’t going to charge you for your reservation that they unmade.||Larkspur must make a killing cancelling people, charging them anyway and giving the room to someone else and THEY charge them too!! We stay across the lot at Hilton now because this place gave me hotel PTSD. Seriously!! And I am an easy customer!! Tip housekeeping clean my own room don’t ask for...
