While I do not normally post online reviews, I felt compelled to write this review following our stay at Courtyard St. Louis Brentwood over this past Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The hotel facility is nothing short of outstanding across the board: the rooms are very comfortable (love those down pillows on the bed!) and well appointed. Even the lobby of the hotel is extremely comfortable, well laid out and very well appointed. The outdoor patio and gas fire pits with comfy furniture was really enjoyable as well. Even better is the location of the hotel...a stone's throw from Starbucks, Red Robin and Drakes and a few other smaller restaurants...and with its central location, only a short drive from all of St. Louis' major attractions. As nice as the hotel facility and location is though, what REALLY sets the Courtyard St. Louis Brentwood apart from other hotels is the truly awesome staff at this hotel--the kind of staff that is super friendly (all the time!) and attentive with a keen eye for customer service--the likes of which was especially evident with Night Manager, Dylan Amigliore. As fate would have it, we (i.e. myself, my wife and about 20 other family members from out of town who were all staying at Courtyard St. Louis Brentwood) had a big family dinner scheduled at my brother's house (who lives in St. Louis) this past Saturday night. Unfortunately, the snow and freezing rain all day night made the roads treacherous on Saturday night...so in the interest of safety, we made the decision to do a makeshift family dinner at the hotel lobby on Saturday night. You can almost imagine the scene as our family of 25+ starting setting up in the hotel lobby for a baked Ziti family dinner lol. Far from pushing back on our unfortunate situation, the hotel's Night Manager, Dylan Amigliore, was more than willing and helpful to allow our us to have our family dinner in the hotel lobby--which meant the world to everyone in our entire family! I simply cannot say enough good things about the Courtyard St. Louis Brentwood: the location, the facility, the service and the outstanding staff--especially Dylan Amigliore! Bottom line is that you will NOT find a better hotel in this price range--so if you are reading this review and looking for a great hotel in the area--just book it you won't be sorry! I know that our entire family will book this hotel for Thanksgiving weekend next year! Finally, I want to say that I really hope that this review makes it up to Courtyard Corporate HQ because the Courtyard St. Louis Brentwood truly sets the bar for what ALL Courtyard hotels...
Read moreI stayed at this same hotel in March of 2021 for a basketball tournament so when my sons football team was returning to the area I immediately reached out to make a group booking. It was within 30 days of our trip plus a holiday weekend so I wasn’t surprised to hear the hotel was pretty full already. We couldn’t get a group booking but were to book any available rooms individually the sales manager stated. So I booked 2 rooms for my family of 5 as I always do. This time around I got 1 email confirmation and another to check in 48hrs ahead. I checked in through the app then called to inquire about the other room. We were told we have 2 not to worry just do the other when we arrive. We arrive and 1 room is on floor 4 and the other is on 5. Not going to work. The lady working nights was in “training” I guess. The manager and her both lacked customer service skills. That was just the onset of my dealings with those 2. I’m now questioning my desire to stay here again. They gave us a handicap room that’s adjoining another room which already had guests! I asked for adjoining rooms when I first booked. There was no pull out sofa which I paid for that style of room. When I went to advise the room didn’t have adequate space the manager told me it should have a pull out sofa of course I told him again it does not and asked for a resolution. He offered $20 off my total. I told him that was insufficient when I have a teenager bigger than me + 2 other kids and a husband. He agreed to do $40 off at check out of course I go to check out and Ms. Amanda saw no such notes. I also asked to go into the conference room for pizza with some of our players and parents. A wedding party had reserved it and told us we could use it instead. He gave me flip flopping answers as to why we couldn’t and he had to see and then allowed the soccer team staying there to use 1 half we discovered...
Read moreAs a lifetime Titanium Elite member, I was very happy with this hotel. The biggest thing is that it is a brand new hotel and Marriott has done a great job of standardizing their new Courtyards. I have stayed in 5 new ones over the last 2 years and they are exactly the same which is a good thing. The bathrooms are bright white with a huge shower and plank flooring. One thing I liked about this shower is that it had a door to close and some of the newer ones go with the no door concept which I feel let's much of the hot steam out which I don't like. As for the room, it was a nice king bed with power and USB plugs on each side. The TV is huge with free HBO and Showtime streaming as well as the ability to log in to most of the major streaming services if you have an account (not Disney+ though). There is a hidden microwave and mini-frig. The AC/ heat is controlled via a wall thermostat though the unit is actually external near the window. While this can be louder at times than in wall units, I think it provides quicker comfort, especially when running the fan only. I did not use the gym but it was available for use and given it is a new hotel had brand new equipment and a wide open airy area. For location, it was right off of the highway with easy access to another. There are numerous restaurants and gas stations within minutes of driving and a few like Red Robin and even Starbucks in the same parking lot so a 1 minute walk. Also a very nice shopping area a few minutes away. Overall I was very happy with this stay and would recommend it for people on vacation or for business. As long as the keep sticking to this standard config on new Courtyard builds, I will be extremely confident with future bookings across...
