After purchasing a new laptop from Bestbuy the settings for I-tunes would not allow any of my Bluetooth systems to connect. I took it back to the Squad in the same location after exhausting all of my known options. I waited for a short while and a tech was ready to help me. I explained the issue and the tech played with the 30 minutes with my 30 day old laptop saying he had no idea as to why the Bluetooth would not work. He suggested that I purchase a service plan from $30-$279. I told him the laptop was new and must be a piece of shyt. He said that there would be more time to investigate the issue if I purchased a service plan. I was livid, having to spend another dime after having purchase a new laptop. The manager was summoned and suggested the service plan is a must to find the issue. $30, $179, or $279 I agreed to spending $30 and left my laptop for service. I was told they would need it over night to sort through the bevy of possible remedies. I left for home and after only 30 minutes received a call saying the issue was found. I feel they wanted to sale a service contract only. Be careful, their folks want to sell a service contract only. They knew the issue and allowed me to leave before they fixed it. There should be an understanding if the laptop is newly purchased to help the client solve BestBuy clients easily fixed issues. I don't mean to be cheap but I had just spent over $900 and the simple fix would have been good business. I will not recommend the squad. There are plenty of service companies that will provide a simple remedy. Only glad is settled for $30 worth of service...

They informed me that I could have the exact same case ordered from a 3rd party or one from the store. I went in the store and opted for one they had on hand that they said was compatible. After a few days go by, I'm told my motherboard isn't actually compatible and that a replacement case would be ordered.

You call the phone number, and they tell you that they DO NOT REPAIR PHONES and they offer you a replacement with a refurbished phone but to do that you also need to pay another $149.99- other than your monthly payments. Finally when you call them to cancel your Geek Squad plan, they do not even ASK what was the problem or how they can improve their service, you just talk to a recorded voice and cancel it.
