John has worked on our family's computer system through the years. The first time he got our home computer up and running and corrected some pesky and problematic software issues. The most recent time, on a different computer, John was able to diagnose an impending hard drive failure and set up machine where I was able to recover vital data that I needed before the inevitable failure my disk drive. John made himself available the very next day after I called for his assistance. He provided honest assessment and offered alternatives that considered both my technical needs as well as budget considerations. Through his honest and expert advice, I was able to make a computer decision that worked best for me and my family. Although I hope not to see John for awhile (professionally, that is) I, nevertheless have him on speed dial--just in case....

John is excellent, responsive and efficent. He helped me select a new business laptop and new business and security software when my very old laptop had a fatal crash, as well as a home network for my transition to remote practice in early 2021. More recently, he responded promptly when our home network was hacked, checked and sanitized our laptops and installed a new, more secure network. In both cases, he acquired and installed the equipment, saving us a lot of time and effort trying to figure out the optimal configuration. John has also responded quickly when questions or minor issues have arisen. I think his hourly rate is quite reasonable for his level of skill, knowledge and experience. I reached out to North Shore IT about getting my house wired with ethernet in order to have a more reliable connection + a better wifi network. I had reached out to a number of vendors, but John stuck out because he was very easy to chat with and was all about understanding what I was actually looking for in the project.

After the walk through, it was apparent that John was focused on providing the best solution he could design without completely breaking the bank. To tackle the ethernet wiring piece, he coordinated 3 different electrician walk throughs to find the right solution for our setup.
