Taqueria Michoacan 8th st — Restaurant in Rogers

I used to love coming to this place. It was one of my favorite spots for asada fries, but lately, the quality of the food has been declining, and my recent visit only added to the disappointment.

I visited a few days ago to order asada fries, but unfortunately, the same mistake happened again — an issue I've experienced multiple times at this location. It’s frustrating when the kitchen staff doesn’t carefully review the receipt details, especially for customized orders like mine, which I don’t think are overly complicated.

I want to acknowledge that the cashier working the drive-thru was very polite and kind. They took my order correctly, and I appreciated their professionalism. However, the issue lay with the kitchen staff, as they didn’t prepare the order as requested.

I specifically requested the jalapeños, tomatoes, and guacamole be removed, with avocado slices added on top. However, my order came with everything I asked to be removed, still on it. To make matters worse, I had to wait nearly 15 minutes after paying for my order, and it felt like they completely forgot about me while I was waiting outside.

When I finally received my food, it was clear they had simply picked off the unwanted ingredients rather than preparing a new plate. On top of that, they drenched the fries in extra nacho cheese and crema, which completely overpowered the dish and made it unpleasant to eat. It even upset my stomach.

This was an incredibly negative experience, especially since I was already feeling very hungry. To add to my disappointment, I’ve noticed the overall quality of the meat has been declining recently, not just at this location on Walnut but also at the one on 8th Street.

I do not recommend this place. My family and I had the worst experience at this restaurant. The workers are extremely rude and incompetent. My family went after church and messed up our whole order and didn’t get some of the dishes we order at all. The girl taking the order was not the problem, however the ladies in the back were the ones deciding which order would come out first. The first person that ordered never got her order because they had “ran out” of al pastor and it was until 10-15 minutes after constant asking and waiting that the cooks decided to let the front girl know so she could inform us. One of the ladies in the back (short with blonde hair and had a kid’s bow holding some front hair back) was the one with most attitude. From the start, she was throwing the orders or rolling her eyes when they would call out an order and no one would claim it since they had messed up. Once we had the whole problem with never getting the order, you could hear all the back workers (especially this lady) talking very disrespectfully in the back and making faces. At the end, she didn’t want to give us a to-go order that was already made and ready because she wanted us to wait until all the orders were out. By this point we decided to leave and we demanded the to-go order that, again, was already ready, but they just wanted us to wait. Honestly, now I don’t even want to touch that order since the ladies seemed like the type to spit in the food prior...
