Boy howdy! Since finding this place on a hunt for fresh bread, I've wanted to review it. Not a Facebooker, so when this opportunity popped up just now, I had to get to writing! What others have shared is not an exaggeration. As a retired grocery guy and restaurateur, I understand food prep, costs, rotation, merchandising. Gaby's defies logic on all these points. Now, you gotta be a little forgiving and have some patience as none of the scores of items are priced or identified with a label, so your instincts need to kick in. Plus, not everyone there speaks clear English. There's a sweet young man in back and a wonderful lady up front Rocio (sp) who both deserve 6 stars for their above and beyond customer service. Went in for bread, came out with a sack full of 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋. Every item is uniquely different and delicious, nearly perfect in their presentation, and it's just a fun experience with the tongs and trays. Feels almost primitive when compared to big box store shopping. Plan your next birthday party around one of their BEAUTIFUL cakes. We live an hour away, have made the trip there twice and cannot wait to get thru yesterday's harvest to...

Now the disappointing part. When we checked out, we ask the lady (in English) if they had tamales. She turned around, peeked into some big pot, didn’t respond, and continued to check us out. As she’s doing that, we see another lady behind the counter fill up a bag full of tamales for another customer. It turns out our cashier did not speak any English (but she understood enough to peek at a pot behind her). I am aggravated that she didn’t ask someone to translate for her (there were quite a few people behind the counter not busy with customers) or make any attempt to help us. I’m sure she is a nice lady just trying to make a living but when you’re in as customer-facing job, you should to try to help your customer.
I’ll go back for the pastries but just stick to that since I doubt I’ll get any customer service beyond...

Their flan is seriously to die for. I’ve tried flan at a lot of places, but this one is on a whole different level. It’s so smooth and creamy, and the flavor isn’t overly sweet—just perfect. If you’re a fan of flan, you really need to try it here. It’s probably the best I’ve ever had.
The breads are another standout. I picked up a few different kinds, and you can just taste how fresh they are—soft, airy, and delicious. Whether you're in the mood for something savory or sweet, you can’t go wrong.
Plus, the people working there are so friendly and helpful. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and they’re always happy to recommend something or let you sample. It’s just a really welcoming place that makes you feel right at home.
I know I’ll be back for sure. If you’re in the area and want some seriously good baked goods, Gaby’s Bakery is definitely...
