We stayed at Residence Inn for a two-day work conference and were assigned a two-room suite, each with its own bathroom. In addition to the rooms, the suite contained a kitchenette with a microwave, countertop range, full refrigerator and sink. The kitchenette is furnished with dishware and utensils and has a small pod coffeemaker. Our suite had a small round dinette table with four chairs. The main room had a desk, a chest of drawers and I believe the couch converted into a bed. There was also a fireplace, however it appeared to only use real wood with no gas fixtures. The rooms each had fairly comfortable queen-sized beds and ample closet space. Aside from that, the suite contained the usual amenities, such as hair dryer, ironing board, iron, etc. The complex was arranged similar to a townhouse complex with individual buildings. We were on the second floor and overlooked the pool. It was a quiet location as well. I've seen cleaner hotels in my experience. For the most part, the suite was clean in the primary living locations. But, for example, when I hung up my work shirts in the closet, the wire rack was thick with dust and dirt. Kind of off-putting. My overall thought is that the suites could use a makeover. But all-in-all, the room was acceptable. Since we arrived around 8pm and were tired from the drive, we decided to call down an order to the Golden Finch, the in-house restaurant. It wasn't so much a restaurant as it was a glorified bar. The menu was basic and I ordered the food from our room. The unfortunate thing was that they had exhausted their supply of chicken, so a Chicken Caesar salad turned out to be just a salad and the Chicken Quesadilla turned out to be just a Cheese Quesadilla. We understand that these things happen, and the attendant was more than willing to reduce the price considerably due to the lack of chicken. In addition, I ordered a burger, the "Beyond BBQ Burger" and it came with fries. It was ok, really just a frozen patty you might buy in bulk from the supermarket or Costco, heated for the burger. We also ordered a side of potstickers. When the food was ready, I went down to the lobby to pick it up and paid the attendant. Again, the food was just ok, not the hottest, but we were hungry and didn't want to go out. The last thing I'll mention is that the entrance is extremely confusing in the dark. Google Maps said we had arrived, but there was no Residence Inn. After driving around the strip mall for a few minutes, I found a road that led back to the hotel. Difficult to find in the dark. Maybe better signage would help. I realize this hotel caters to travelers from and to the airport, and maybe a traveler's expectation only requires a convenient place to stay before traveling. But for those of us who stay multiple nights, I feel there could be some better perks and cleanliness at the hotel. Would I stay there again? Yes, no doubt. But now that I know what to expect, I would tailor my dining a bit and try some of the local places to eat.

This place is horrible. There were ants in our bathroom… ANTS. Not one or two - lots of them. Also a weird nasty bug in the closet. The room shows a lot of wear and tear… definitely needs some updates. It’s clear that management wants to pass it off as a nice hotel - it just isn’t. You will never get a mobile key prior to arrival because they require a photo ID and credit card in order to check-in (even if you pay online). For reference, I booked direct, not through a third party, using my Marriott account. I was surprised I had to jump through hoops to get my key… as was the man who checked in before me because he was pretty angry (and took forever). We arrived at night so I didn’t get a good look at the area, but I definitely got that “ut oh” vibe walking to my room. I immediately locked the doors and closed all of the curtains. Other guests were very loud… lots of yelling and loud music. Not the hotels fault, but to give some additional context on my stay. The only good thing about this place was the staff… the guy working the front desk was very nice. I felt bad for him… clearly doing his best, but the hotel is awful. From what I saw - he just fields complaints.

I would not recommend staying here. The room maintenance and service from staff are not up to Marriott expectations. The rooms were dated and unkempt, with hair in my bathroom and a colleague with stains all over their bed and couch. Two of my colleagues had their reservations mysteriously cancelled. Upon arrival, at midnight, I had to carry my luggage and multiple packages up a flight of stairs...with no heads up from the front desk. The room was eerily dark and extemelt hot (HVAC was not running), as if they weren't expecting anyone to stay the night. The next morning, while waiting for an Uber (good luck getting one in this area), a guest complained about a wasp in their room. The front desk didn't seem concerned but offered to send someone to the room. Unfortunately for me, I also had 2 wasps in my room at 3:00 am upon my checkout to the airport. I didn't even offer to say anything to the front desk based on the poor check-in experience and lack of care given to the other guest with the same problem. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

I recently had the pleasure of returning to the Residence Inn Marriott in Sacramento Natomas, and once again, it proved to be a delightful experience that surpassed my expectations in every way.

Having stayed here before, I was already familiar with the warm and friendly staff who go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The seamless check-in process and the staff's commitment to ensuring I had all the information needed for a comfortable stay were consistent with my previous experience.

Opting for a suite with a fireplace, as I did on my previous visit, added an extra layer of coziness and warmth to my stay. It felt like returning to a familiar and welcoming retreat. The well-designed suite was not just a room but a spacious haven that truly felt like a home away from home.

The fully equipped kitchen was an added bonus! While I didn't use it, it was great to be able to store food from take out and night's out with friends and family during my stay in sacramento.

The complimentary breakfast buffet, a highlight from my previous stay, once again exceeded my expectations. The variety and quality of the offerings, combined with the welcoming dining area, made for a delightful start to each day. The freshness of the ingredients and the attentiveness of the breakfast staff were consistent with the high standards I experienced before.

The Residence Inn Marriott Natomas continues to boast a convenient location in the charming Natomas neighborhood, providing easy access to downtown Sacramento and major attractions. The proximity to highways and public transportation further enhances the hotel's appeal for exploring the city.

The amenities, from the well-equipped fitness center to the relaxing outdoor pool and patio area, maintained their top-notch quality. What truly set this Residence Inn apart, as it did during my previous stay, was the exceptional service provided by the staff. The familiar faces were as friendly, approachable, and eager to assist as ever, creating a sense of returning to a place where I am not just a guest but a valued part of the community.

In conclusion, my return to Residence Inn Marriott Sacramento Natomas was a testament to the consistently fantastic experience this hotel provides. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, well-appointed suites, delicious breakfast, and outstanding service makes it a standout choice for both business and leisure travelers. I wholeheartedly recommend opting for a suite with a fireplace for an extra touch of comfort and charm. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to this...

I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was and how up-to-date it looked. Touches like the full-size refrigerator and full-size furniture and complete furnishings such as desks, an ottoman and full size couch were impressive.

Even the drapes seemed new and the entire room was incredibly clean including the bathroom and kitchenette. Each day when I returned it was cleaned immaculately. The view from the windows were great and you could see the sidewalks and other guests walking through the area, including their pets.

Everything seemed new or fairly new to make me feel like I was in a better-than-average room. The carpet - while thin and typical of hotel carpet in color was without stains or wear. The bed was large and comfortable and the linens and pillows were new and fresh.

The free high speed internet is truly high speed like at home and I was pleased that speedtest.net clocked the upload and download both at about 50 Mbps on my laptops Wi-Fi!!

The parking was extremely easy and close to the rooms though there could be MORE parking space. If there was anything to improve about this hotel it would be the customer service. Specifically, the front desk. Check-in was relatively easy, but the front lobby clerk on duty was multi-tasking between a personal phone conversation on the front desk landline and completing my check in. I was not greeted when I entered the lobby and the front desk is literally right next to the entrance.

Check-out was worse. I called from the hotel room just prior to leaving to confirm I was checking out and if I could leave my key cards in the room. The male staff on the other end stuttered, continued to answer my questions with questions instead of answering my straight-forward questions and didn't seem to understand how check out worked.

I was forced to finish putting my things in the car and drive around to the front lobby to make sure I was checked out. When I entered there were three front lobby staff standing elbow-to-elbow and only one seemed to be doing anything productive. I once again had to greet them first and explain that there seemed to be confusion about how to check guests out and I inquired as to whether I could leave the card keys there and if there was anything else I needed to do. I received a curt, "No" and then I turned and left.

In summary, the room and property were fantastic, housekeeping is wonderful, but the front lobby customer service needs more basic training in...
