The Sandwich Spot — Restaurant in Sacramento

This restaurant was once decent in my experience, but after today, I have looming questions about the management and whether I should bother going back.

When I walked in, Sandwich Spot wasn't packed, and there were three employees (one more than I saw on previous occasions). Yet it took a couple of awkward minutes before an employee would even look at or speak to me. This could have been understandable if there had been a long line, but I was the only person in line.

The vibe was bizarre, off-putting, and unwelcoming. None of the employees acted like they cared whether I was comfortable even standing in the establishment. There was little evidence that anyone understood the basic principle of maintaining a reasonably positive atmosphere for custom.

In fact, the employees looked so depressed and uninterested in any other human being that I began imagining why they might be this sullen and unfriendly. Did all three of them just lose a loved one? Did a vicious previous customer pass the nastiest gas of all time? Does the manager make the employees miserable for entertainment? Did a beloved celebrity couple call it quits?

I suppose I will never know.

I just can't do it anymore and not write a review. I have tried 7 different sandwiches off their menu and I guess every time I go I have a different expectation and then the food get's to me and I am always left with the same disappointment even though I want so badly to enjoy the food because the menu sounds great it's just they give you nothing in between 2 pieces of bread. This last time I got Da big brudda thinking it would be loaded and what did I get, 1 piece of pastrami, 1 piece of roast beef and 3 slices of salami. I'm not expecting beach hut level meat for the proce however when I can go to safeway and raleys and get a pre made sandwhich with more meat and for half the cost it's a no brainer. Again I want to like this place so badly but they way you skimp on ingredients and charge what you do I just can't in good faith continue to waste my money and not say anything as you continue to do it to other customers as well. I recently visited The Sandwich Spot and was blown away by their amazing veggie sandwich! The combination of fresh vegetables and the secret sauce made for a truly unforgettable meal. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and packed with so much flavor - it was definitely one of the best veggie sandwiches I've ever had.

But what really made my experience special was the service provided by the manager, Devin. He was welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful throughout my visit. He even offered some great suggestions for other menu items that I might enjoy.

The location of this restaurant is also great - it's conveniently located and easy to find. The interior is clean, modern, and has a great atmosphere.

Overall, I highly recommend The Sandwich Spot. The food is delicious and the service is exceptional thanks to Devin and his team.
