We like to have places to get a nice drink, so we got there about a half hour early to have a pre-dinner drink. They have an excellent bar, very good selections of cocktails, liquors, wine, and beer. The bartenders were excellent and very attentive. We had reservations for 6:30pm and when we showed up I did not think that they were needed, but by the time we sat down around 6:35pm I was glad that we had them. Once they have been open for a couple months I am pretty sure they will be necessary for anything after 6pm on the weekend. The atmosphere and dƩcor are great. Nice big concrete bar with plenty of tall tables inside and lower tables on the patio. It was too cool to sit out there, but they have what looks like a very nice patio to go with a lot of seating in the bar. The only thing that was difficult to find was the restroom, but the wait staff was very friendly and actually guided my wife most of the way.
The food was excellent and what I thought was a good serving size. This is a quality over quantity kind of establishment, which I will always take. We had the Lava roll as an appetizer and it was honestly one of the best rolls I have ever had, and we have been to some pretty nice Sushi restaurants. My wife had the Lobster Roll, sandwich not sushi, and the side of the day and I had the St. Louis Pork Steak. They were both excellent, so good in fact that it is one of those situations were might have to get them every time we go just so we are not disappointed. :)
Overall excellent experience. We will be back many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally, I donāt leave reviews and I try not to leave bad reviews because people deserve some grace, but this time is different. Iāve worked in the service industry in the past and customer satisfaction is important. And so is communication. I do not recommend the lobster ravioli, especially if you donāt like a spoon or fork full of oil. I think there was more oil than there was ravioli. As I continued to funnel through to eat my dish, I just became irritated but my server was unable to be found or get attention when I tried. Hungry, I continued to unhappily funnel through. When I finally got a chance to talk to them, I was apologized to and asked if I wanted my meal comp. Iām not the type to try and get free meals from complaints, so I said take something off bc I did eat the dish. Well, not only did the dish turn out to be more expensive than listed online, but $3 on a $32 oil packed dish was absolutely nothing. When I spoke to the manager about my discontent he essentially shrugged his shoulders with words by saying the restaurant canāt help that I disliked my dish and thatās just how itās made. Thatās the risk you take when you try mew things. So, I guess it would have been better to send the dish back and get something different and then it would have been okay for the restaurant to not only lose money but waste food. Make sure you ask about your dish before ordering because you might get a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday was my first time at Prasino. I've been hearing about the lobster omelette for over five years, and today I finally got to try it. It was very good, and the banana bread French toast was pretty amazing. HOWEVER, the excellence of the food was overshadowed by the fly infestation. We were seated in the second section of the restaurant behind a wall, a good distance from the door. At least three flies were divebombing our food and buzzing around us during the entire meal. It was unsettling, distracting, and frustrating, as we were swatting at them while trying to enjoy our food. We made the waitress aware of the situation, and she removed a fly that my husband had killed and was beneath his water glass. She told us that another diner had encountered a similar issue at the restaurant last night as well. She did not bring the manager to our table or offer any relief. Additionally, the menu on their website is clearly very outdated. It lists the price for the lobster omelette at $18. It was quite shocking to see on the menu at the restaurant that it was $28. We spent over $100 for this breakfast with uninvited and unsanitary guests. Additionally, we had reservations and there were two girls working at the desk when we arrived. Neither looked up or acknowledged us for about five minutes. Definitely not the review I had hoped to be...
