This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.
This was my very first time at a DRURY hotel and I've been here from the 8/10/21 thru the 8/23/21. two weeks.
Definitely a Tourist oriented Hotel.
ROOM: Pros= room was very clean and no smell of smoke of any sort. I believe this Hotel is fairly new and you can tell. my Room had no broken, damaged, or worn furniture. very nice design and very relaxing atmosphere. classic design kind of furniture but with a touch of modern like MANY USB outlets and MANY POWER outlets to keep you connected at all times. My room had two queen beds and they were very nice and firm and so were the pillows. you have many pillows to choose from, and they have different level of softness. Enough lighting and well placed. Work desk with table lamp and office chair, very nice. The restroom and the shower were super clean and new and I do love the basic beauty product dispenser that they placed in the shower, so that you do not have to worry about shampoo, body wash and conditioner. there is a closet with hangers, a Hairdryer, an iron and a ironing board. The room is also equipped with Microwave, Refrigerator (very small though) and a fairly big TV set. Cons= The cleaning service could be better, you always have to specify what do you want them to clean. Also, they do not put plastic bags in your room's trash bins so depending on the trash they can get nasty and dirty. NO complementary water in the room.
FOOD: They serve Buffet Breakfast and Buffet Dinner. Breakfast is good and you have many choices, although a lack of dairy products. Dinner is complementary, simple but good. Nothing fancy or high end. Coffee and Tea available 24/7. They have a kitchen in case you wanna order food from their Menu, I tried it n it was good. They give you a "BOOZE CARD" if you stay more than 3 days and every night from 5:30pm to 7pm you get 3 FREE alcoholic drinks.
STAFF: All the staff are super nice, very friendly, helpful and understanding. Some of them go above and beyond.
FACILITY: New Facility, with a mix of classic and modern style. well designed. You can access the Facility from 4 different entrances located on the 4 sides of the hotel. great idea. very good Layout. Big breakfast/dinner/ lunch area. pretty big lounging area with plenty or armchairs, tables, chairs and comfy sofas. They have a TV area as well were you can enjoy your meal/drink and watch TV, with your family or friends. They have a big outside parking lot and a underground parking lot (very useful when it rains), here you can also find and electric car charging station. Every floor has a laundry room.
CLEANLINESS: The Hotel and all the communal areas were clean at all times. The staff clean tables, chairs, sofas and the coffee station all the time. Everybody contribute to the cleanliness of the Hotel . All the public restrooms are super clean. They will service and clean your room, but you have to request it.
POOL: they have 3 pools, one for kids, and two for adults, one inside and one outside. the pool areas are always clean and neat, they always have plenty of bath towels available, there are tables and chairs to relax and bring your drink and outside you can find some beach chairs too. pretty cool. Water was clean, not over treated with chemicals and did not stink.
FITNESS CENTER: The room is somehow small for such a high capacity hotel, but in their defense, was always empty. the room was always clean and neat. plenty of towels available. They have a small weights station, one bicycle only and quite a few treadmills. The fountain potable water has a funky taste.
PETS: The Hotel is Pet-friendly and so are the staff.
LOCATION: Great location, right next Downtown St. Charles and it's surrounded by restaurant and a Cinema theater. Also, right next to the Katy trail (river walk).
ATM: they do have an ATM machine if you need cash and they have a small room with VENDING MACHINES and lose products. You can find all sort of snacks, food and beverage. They also have a small BUSINESS...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKevin the general manager was very kind. He's very personable which is great. He made me feel right at home. The next morning he remembered my name when he greeted me. Jill at the bar is awesome. she is very personable and an awesome peoples person. I made sure to give her a nice tip even though she didn't want it. The only reason I'm not giving my visit a five-star is due the experience I had at the front desk upon my arrival before I met kevin. I'm local on the other side of the bridge. I had a very important meeting and didn't want to risk getting stuck in traffic or anything that would happen by chance to make me late. I decided to stay at Drury, which is in walking distance. needless to say, I made reservations before I arrived and the st Peter's location confirmed that there were rooms available. when I arrived I was told by the person at the front desk there weren't any clean rooms and I could not check in until 3pm lady went on to explain about being short of staff for housekeeping. (I will not mention his name because he was very nice when I saw him the next morning. maybe he were under pressure or weren't feeling well the day before)Well my meeting was at 3 p.m. I arrived at 9am. I explained all of this and stated that I needed to shower and change clothes. yet the guy was a bit argumentative. So I hung out at some of the shops in the area. I return around 2pm. That's when I met Kevin. Overall this is a great Hotel. My only complaint is if I book a room and pay my money, I expect to be able to go in my room. Especially if I call beforehand and explain my situation and was told there are plenty of rooms available. As for the people who are complaining about the drinks, not having a bar and the pool size, keep in mind this is an excellent 3-star Hotel not a 5-star. If you're looking for top-notch treatment go to Beverly Hills and they will charge you for everything you touch, from your meals to a bar of soap which is about $10. The rooms even have a bar full of liquor over $400 worth but you will pay for every bottle you touch. I paid $5 for a little tiny plastic shower cap at the Luxe in Beverly Hills and I had to tip staff an extra $10 for bringing me the cap. I can get a 10 pack of plastic caps for a $1 at the dollar store lol you will get excellent service but you will pay. I tipped Beverly Hills driver $5 just to take me around the corner and he replied if I was would have known that I would not have turned my air conditioner...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI loved everything about this hotel the only downside is I was only staying for one night! I wish I was staying longer because the area alone is magnificent. The hotel is in an area surrounded by so many restaurants, stores and events. The hotel lobby was beautiful and the rooms were spacious and well decorated. My bed was sunken in a little bit, but I like that and I had a great nap the day of check in and then later that evening I slept very well. I love the bathroom as well as it was spacious and the toilet is separated from the sink area. There is a refrigerator and a microwave in the room and a dedicated closet for your clothes. Thereās a desk and a sitting chair in addition to the bed in the king room, which is what I had. I cannot say enough about the staff at this hotel! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I was allowed to check in a couple hours early free of charge and I was also allowed a late check out free of charge what I greatly appreciate it. another park is the free parking.Although all of the staff were great, there was one standout named Raya who worked the late night shift. She literally was like a ray of sunshine!! She was so welcoming and friendly and accommodating, and offered services that most hotel staff would not offer. I was struck by her eagerness just to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Itās so sad that we donāt see this a lot at hotels so I wanna point this out because she was amazing. Raya understood the assignment and this hotel should be proud of her. She represented this hotel very well and exemplifies great customer service. The hotel looks very luxurious due to the business setting that it is in. Everything was easy from checking in to checking out and the stay itself was great. I didnāt hear a lot of noise from other rooms or outside despite the fact that there was a lot of restaurants and businesses in the area. If youāre going to an event at the Hollywood casino amphitheater itās a very quick drive from this hotel across the river. I really enjoyed my stay and I plan to stay again if Iām in the area. Iām really sad. I didnāt get to stay longer to explore more of Saint Charles as it appears to be an interesting city. The room rate was also reasonable for the room that I had which was another great asset. Overall...
