Quality Inn Salem - I-81 — Hotel in Salem

First off no surprise this hotel doesn’t have a 4 star rating. I book hotels each week for my construction crew. Thousand of dollars spent in and out of hotels. I have never once had it be such a huge issue that the staff would turn away my workers all because I would not send a photo copy of my personal license for the reservation. My reservation was placed through choice rewards. I am a diamond member and have no issue sending a credit card auth. Form but due to personal fraud issues Iv had in the past I never send anyone a photo of my license. I contacted the lady at the desk she refused the reservation. She told me a manager would call me but that never happened. My tired workers stood around for over 30 mins and she finally talked them into using their company gas card to pay for a new reservation $200 more than my original reservation. I knew this would get the employee fired due to our policy and was infuriated. When I called her on the phone she told me I was never a victim of fraud to stop playing Victim and take some responsibility for myself. Her manager was too busy for me and when I advised her she did not have authorization from me to take those charges on that company card she laughed and told me I wouldn’t be getting any of my money back. Needless to say the worker will be checking out in the morning. I filed a complaint with choice rewards against the conduct of this hotel. I will be contacting my credit card company to also file a complaint on the charges that are not authorized and I hope the busy manager Bhavik Patel has time to reply a good response back to this review. Good luck guys and please just go down the road to the other hotels before wasting your time at this one.

Same owner as the Econo lodge in Roanoke. Bad customer service. The night shift desk lady was extremely hateful. I Hate to leave these types of reviews on small franchises but when you run a business where customers especially what would be repeat customers since we are a “construction company” working in the area on an extremely long communication contract would want the rooms booked out each week.

• update * After speaking with the owner she apologized for the employee and also made it her mission to fix everything that went wrong at the other location. She was very kind and her day manager of 8 years was very accommodating to make sure the owners got back with my company as soon as possible! The hotel was not the issue just one inexperienced worker in customer service made a sour experience but having the owners correct the issue as quickly as possible shows great knowledge in customer...

When we arrived we tried to check in early but the room wasn't ready and the girl working the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. We left and came back and were able to check in. The same girl was still rude and tried to pawn us off on the new person since her shift was ending. She checked me in and didn't inform us about breakfast, or the wifi password. The other girl checked in another couple when my father who was also checking in had to wait. Which the girl should have checked in my father before that couple since we had 2 different reservations. While we were waiting for my father to check in, my boyfriend went to grab a piece of candy and the new girl yelled at my boyfriend that he was only allowed one piece of candy. My father who is hard of hearing asked us what the girl said. My boyfriend told him that she said he was only allowed one piece of candy. My father responded with is she joking? The girl who checked me in said very rudely no she's not. Again my father wasn't informed while checking in about the breakfast or wifi. Let me state that there is no sign that only one piece of candy should be taken. ||After finding our room with no direction, we found a hair on our chair. The TV was not in working proper order. We also found a stain on the bed sheets. ||I went to my father's room to check on him. He had no clock and a light that kept flickering. We didn't tell the front desk since we encountered such rudeness and unprofessionalism just moments before. We wanted to leave and find a new hotel but we just paid and knew we couldn't get our money refunded. ||This morning when I took a shower we had NO HOT WATER. My boyfriend couldn't shower. When meeting up with my father he informed us he had NO HOT WATER either. ||While checking out the person who was working the front desk was apologetic for the girls the day before and he gave my father and I your card so we could address our concerns. ||I have been a member of choice hotels for a while and have never encountered such a horrible hotel as I did...
