Rented a storage unit for over eight years. It was often advertised that new rentals would pay less than half of what current renters would pay. Recently, I questioned this and was told by Cindy, the manager, that she would speak with the regional manager after he returned from surgery the following week to see what could be done. That was over a month ago, and I have not heard back from her. This past weekend, I moved everything out and had to call to let her know since she was not in the office on Saturday. When I called, I was told no money would be refunded. I am paid through the 23rd. She also tried to tell me I was only paid through the 20th, but I questioned it because I knew when my due date was. She then said she had misspoke. I asked her to please contact the regional manager regarding a refund since she had never gotten back to me on why I was paying double what a new renter would pay. She said she would email to see what she could find out and let me know. I asked her if she was going to let me know this time since she didn’t last time and her reply was I’ll mark your unit as “moved out” and then hung the phone up on me. Extremely poor customer service on more than one occasion and office manager lacks professionalism. When I went Saturday to empty my storage unit, the gates going in and out, that you need a code to enter and exit were both up and remained up for the entire duration. Not a very secure property.
As a side note, on more than one occasion I let the office staff know that while I was at my storage unit that it appeared that someone was living inside one of the storage units. They went inside one of the internal doors, with food and beverage, no car, and they never came back out while I was there. Being female, this was very unsettling to me. Read moreWe recently moved to the area from out of state and were looking to store most of our belongings as close as possible to where we are currently residing. I put in a reservation and also called to confirm when I needed the unit. We were told on the phone that all was set, but when we showed up to finalize the lease, the reservation had already been deleted! I had put the reservation in just a few days before the 10 day cutoff so that is why I initially called to confirm. However, Cindy and Cheyenne did everything they could to find me the unit I needed on the spot! Read moreCindy is GREAT! She picked up on cues that we were pressed for time, yet still gave us a great customer experience! She got all of our paperwork explained, signed, and processed quickly. She took the time to walk us through entering our gate code and ensuring it worked. And, she walked us to our unit so we knew exactly which one was assigned to us. She was very accommodating and professional! I think the manager of the site needs to do something so the sun isn't nailing the front desk employees in the eyes all afternoon while they are watching the gate area through their window.
