Stayed at this hotel over the weekend while in town for an event. The bed was heavenly – I haven't stayed at a Hilton yet where I didn't get an amazing night's sleep. However, everything else was quite disappointing. Before arriving, I received an email offering the convenience of checking in online and using the app for various services, including unlocking the room and accessing parking. Initially, things seemed promising as the app granted access to the parking area. However, after parking, we couldn't get through the gate to access the building and had to walk around to the front entrance. As frequent Hilton guests, we're accustomed to finding complimentary bottled water in our room, but not at this location. We had to request water at the front desk. Returning from our event around midnight, the app failed to grant access to the parking area, so I had to visit the front desk again to get a key card. The room struggled to stay cool during the day, there were moments where we were sweating in the room, though it did cool down nicely at night. The toilet was noisy, taking about 3 minutes to refill with water while making constant noise. Additionally, we found someone’s dirty barbecue plate on top of the microwave upon arrival. We paid extra for breakfast to be included in our stay, but I wouldn't recommend it. The breakfast offerings were akin to what you’d find at McDonald's – processed potatoes, pre-cooked sausage, carton eggs, and watered-down coffee. For the price, I expected more and felt we could have saved $100 a night by staying at the Drury, where would have received all you can eat processed food and an evening happy hour. Unfortunately, I won’t be staying at this hotel again. There are many better options in San Antonio – explore those instead.

Very nice staff, clean rooms and even had a partial view of Six Flags from our room. When we arrived, my husband realized that he booked a room with two beds and the staff were able to accommodate the change to a king bed for us with no hassles. Also, every guest is given a warmed cookie and bottle water as a welcome. Rooms were spacious and had plenty of plugs for electronics to charge at the desk and both lamps although I only took pictures of one lamp, the set up was the same at the other side of the bed, wall plug included. Bathroom door slides open and closed vs swinging. There are full size bottles of body lotion by the sink, while hair shampoo, conditioner and bodywash are in the shower. Under the sink you can find a glam makeup mirror and in the black bag is a hair blow dryer. And the huge cabinet when you walk in houses the mini fridge, microwave, closet, ironing board and iron, and a full size selfie check mirror to make sure you look professional before walking out the door. One note, there is no free breakfast (unless you have a voucher, but IDK how you get one) The waitress was really nice and she did let us see the breakfast menu before deciding if we wanted to stay to eat or not and we decided not to at this visit.

An excellent hotel that is centrally located near the University of Texas at San Antonio and a short distance from Six Flags and restaurants. The hotel is very new and modernized inside, which is well-kept and clean, with secured parking lots. The staff is friendly and very welcoming, with a bag of snacks and 2 bottles of water. The room is big and has a very comfortable bed that fell asleep immediately after a long flight. The bar is nice for a drink without going out. A decent size gym with modern treadmills, ellipticals, weights machine, and free weights. Of course, there is a swimming pool. As a Gold member, I received a $30 voucher daily for a drink, breakfast, and dinner at the onsite restaurant. If I don't use the $15, it turns into points. The hotel has a lovely dining area for breakfast. Although the breakfast is good, the service is slow. It is not worth the wait while on a business trip. There's room for improvement with a complimentary continental breakfast vs. a $15 voucher that goes toward the food. This way, the guest can eat right away without delay. Finally, there are two workstation business areas in the main waiting area. Overall, I had a great experience during my few days of stay.

This was my second stay at this DoubleTree location. The property is newer and has a modern and fresh design. I did not receive any space available upgrade for Diamond members, however, I did receive two bottles of water at check-in. Sierra was welcoming and friendly. She made a good first impression. My room was clean and comfortable (this is a compliment to the unknown housekeeping staff who have an arduous and underappreciated job). I liked having a microwave in the room even though I did not use it. I was glad I traveled with my own pillow because I never could have used their massively fluffy king pillows. The rest of the linen was comfortable and the bed was cozy. I did not like that there was no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands at the sink (there's no bar soap as all of the toiletries are liquids). There was a small bottle of shampoo outside of the shower; maybe I was supposed to use that? Don't be cheap. Breakfast is by order-only in the restaurant and not a buffet. I don't prefer this format, especially at a DoubleTree brand where I've enjoyed a banquet of delicious breakfast offerings in other cities. This would not have been as disappointing if the website did not show a buffet. The photos need to be updated to reflect the offering has changed. I did receive excellent service in the restaurant, and Angel was pleasant. He was friendly and accommodating and seemed to be efficient. I did use the fitness center, which is equipped with cardio, cable, and dumbbell equipment. It was clean and sufficient for a very basic workout. I relaxed by the pool after my workout and found the space to be great to soak up some sun and fresh air. This space was also well maintained and as pictured on the website. One of the most important features, the hot cookie at check-in, was fresh and delicious despite a late night arrival. That alone will get me to come back. Overall, this is a great property and I would...

We stayed over a weekend. No maid service and okay with that but coffee for one day is not okay especially when they won't put out coffee downstairs before 8 a.m. Even if it is a Covid thing, do they think we won't catch it after 8:00 a.m.? Also there were no extra trash bags in the trash cans so our trash built up. We had to go downstairs to ask for things like coffee, creamer, trash bags, etc. They do have the barn door but at least it latches so when the air conditioning came on it didn't open. But, there was a frosted glass on the door so there is no real privacy. Our room was near the elevator, and not nearly as noisy as other hotels. Breakfast downstairs was okay. We are diamond so we did not have to pay for our meal. The wait staff was very good in the dining room and deserve the tips we left. The room was smaller than we have ever had before but it accommodated our 4 lb dog. The $100 non-refundable fee was a bit much. Our dog uses pee pads and goes outside when we take him. If they utilize the $100 to clean the carpets between pets, I would not complain. Obviously, they do not. I think they can do better. Covid is an excuse to do as little as possible. We have stayed in much cheaper hotels during this pandemic with...
