As the only real place to see luxury watch brands in San Antonio, I have been through here a few times and even bought at one of the other locations. I always dread going because of the game played here, buy a bunch of stuff you may not want to even have a chance to buy a Rolex. Just so happened I was really interested in a non Rolex brand which I knew would be available so I drove the 45 minutes to try the watch on and possibly buy. Just last month I did the same to buy a Cartier but was told by the sales woman that wanted be act like we were in high school rather than find me the watch that she said they did not have but did not even look and did not offer to order the watch. I wound up buying that watch from Cartier in Houston which was a much better experience. Today I was ignored (same lady right up front when I came in) for at least 10 minutes, but I walked around, looked at the watch and finally decided it was not worth my time and as I walked out one of the sales guys greeted me with "Hey bud" as I walked out. I am almost 50 and old enough to be his father and I would like to think this is a professional business, I am not sure "Hey bud" is appropriate as a greeting but since he did not attempt to talk to me until I was walking out, I guess he really did not want to talk to me anyways but rather just wanted to disrespect me.
In San Antonio we are limited in luxury watch buying options and they know it. It is ridiculous and the reality is there are A LOT of authorized dealers outside of Texas that are more than happy to help customers just makes it difficult with buying Rolex. They want you to buy non Rolex items and jewelry in order to be "invited" to buy a Rolex but yet they have sales "professionals" that act like this. Come on man.......I definitely do not want a Rolex that bad and there are so many other options for my non Rolex and jewelry needs. This place is a joke and I would never give them my business again.
EDIT: In response to your reply, I already emailed several weeks ago after my prior experience and never received a reply. So your copied and pasted response like you care about what I say or that something will be done is not needed but I do want it known I have already emailed and never got a response. Thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLee Michaels Fine Jewelry at La Cantera is absolutely FIRST CLASS in customer service! The staff make it a point to get to know me as a person and to provide individualized attention to my needs. I recently inherited my late father's Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date, and April has been fantastic in helping me get it properly serviced so I can honor my dad's memory when I wear it. She was also incredibly attentive in helping me select the perfect Visconti writing instrument as a promotion gift for a friend. Additionally, she helped me acquire an exquisite Tudor Black Bay 36 that I've had my eye on, and I'm really enjoying it. As I've also expressed my interest in purchasing a Rolex Explorer to mark the completion of my doctorate along with other significant milestones this past year, both April and Annabelle have been outstanding when it comes to communicating with me during the process. I look forward to someday adding the Explorer as a very special piece in my collection. I will be proud to have it next to my father's Rolex and the first luxury timepiece I ever purchased--a Breitling Colt Automatic--both of which I'm currently trusting Lee Michaels to service. When it comes to timepieces, writing instruments, and fine jewelry; relationships matter, and the team at Lee Michaels La Cantera have exceeded all expectations in cultivating a wonderful relationship with me. Lee Michaels is my first choice for all my future needs in these areas. Thanks for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJessica is nice, but not genuine. I purchased multiple non-Rolex watches and all I wanted was one Rolex from a long list I gave her. She said she would "work hard" to get me one but she's the manager--she either grants me one or not...and it's been a long time. So I asked her about it and she basically said that I need to buy jewelry to play ball in the Rolex game. She didn't say those exact words, but she did confirm that buying jewelry would greatly help my case. I was tempted because I'm a total watch nerd and have been wanted a new Rolex for years, but I'm not playing those games. She gets three stars because she is nice and professional (at least on the surface), but loses major points for making me think I would get something and then, after purchasing other stuff, telling me I won't unless I add jewelry on top...which is actually unprofessional. I should give one or two stars but I'm not that vindictive...just very disappointed because I could have given my business to an establishment that truly cares to delight true watch enthusiasts, not people who are purchasing because of hype and are, thus, willing to play those games. Having said that, I don't blame Lee Michaels for playing these games--they are a business and need to make a profit, so it is in their right to do so...but it's the bait and switch that irks me. I shouldn't have received the sweet talk up front and then the sour talk after they...
