Disappointing Stay at Spark by Hilton For context, I am a Hilton Diamond member and almost exclusively stay at Hilton affiliated properties.
I was highly disappointed with my recent stay at Spark by Hilton near Six Flags. First, cleanliness was clearly not a priority. Upon arrival, I noticed hair still left in the shower from a previous guest, which immediately made me question the overall sanitation of the room.
Additionally, the shower’s water never warmed up, making it impossible to enjoy a comfortable shower during my stay. This was incredibly frustrating after long days out.
The AC unit was another major issue. The vent couldn’t be adjusted, and the air blew directly at bed height, making it uncomfortable to sleep, especially for the person sleeping closest to the unit. The unbalanced airflow created a disintegrating comfort level in the room.
To top it off, the entire 4th floor reeked of cigarette smoke, despite this being a non-smoking hotel. The strong smell permeated the hallway and seeped into the room, which was highly unpleasant and contradicted the hotel’s “non-smoking” policy.
Overall, these issues made for a very poor experience. I won’t be returning to Spark by Hilton and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and clean stay.

Read moreAfter checking in we entered our room and realized the toilet seat falling off I contacted room service and at that time was given a new room when I came back to grab our new keys I was told the deposit wasn’t going to be returned because it was a dog fee not a deposit something that was not mentioned during our check in. After entering our new room the toilet seat was also coming off but at this point we decided not to complain anymore and just make the best out of it. The rooms definitely need more attention we found a long hair on one of our hand towels and the carpet was not vacuumed and we hade to make sure our dogs didn’t eat anything that was all over the carpet. The sheets had stains so we just removed the ones that had them and used the ones that were cleaner. At one point we were using one of the elevators and the door got stuck half way so we managed to get out and let front desk know about it and of course we didn’t get any thank you or a sorry about that both of the staff members looked like they got mad because of the report we had just given. Lights kept flickering during our stay I think this place definitely needs more attention from housekeeping, maintenance and definitely management! Read moreI would not recommend staying at Spark by Hilton. We checked in Monday June 9th and we canceled our stay shortly after arriving because of how bad the conditions were. The front desk attendant was unprofessional and more focused on her phone than helping us. There was trash all over the entrance, which gave us an immediate bad impression.
The toilet was constantly running and did not flush, so we couldn’t even use the restroom. The room itself was filthy — the sheets were covered in hair and dirt, the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned or swept, fruit flies were everywhere, and the air vents and A/C unit were caked with dust. The headboard was greasy, and the overall condition was unacceptable. The hallways were dirty and needed vacuuming, and the elevators were absolutely disgusting.
We booked through Expedia and received a refund for the room. However, we were charged $17 for parking by the hotel. The front desk attendant told us the manager would contact us on Tuesday to refund it. Additionally we have a charge of $92 pending and we do not even know what this is for. It’s now Friday — after 10 phone calls and an unanswered email, we still haven’t heard anything.
