Go read my yelp review to see photos... Hands down the absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It all started when the front desk guy lied to me in person versus what he told me over the phone. I asked him around 2:00 p.m. could I check in early, and he thought about it then said "sure you can check in early," and I told him I'll be on my way. When I showed up, I told him I was the girl on the phone who wanted to check in early, and he said yeah of course and then he proceeded to get everything together. Then he told me it was going to be $20 if I wanted to check in early. He omitted that over the phone and tried to play me in person by upcharging me. I told him no and that lying to guests like that is not right, and he said come back in 30 minutes. WOW! I hate dishonest people and would have left if I hadn't already made the reservation. That left a sour taste in my mouth.
When I got in my room, his aura matched the room because it was the dirtiest hotel room I've ever set foot in. I literally went to my car to get small trash bags so I could walk around in the hotel room because there were crumbs, dead bug skeletons, and stains all over the floor. The bathroom was something out of a horror movie. I did the disabled room, and It looked like somewhere you tortured someone, and it's easy to clean up after. The toilet, sink, and shower merged together as one. It was bizarre! It was really old, severe paint peeling and falling apart. I wore trash bags in the shower as well. It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen, and I wanted to cry staying there. I slept sideways on the edge of the bed because there were stains on the sheets at the top part. The tv had static and was old and barely worked. In order to get the heater to work, there were directions on how I needed to shimmy it a specific way for it to turn on.
Like I said, the level of service in the beginning matched the room, and I can not recommend this hotel to anybody in light of that.

Read moreI've been coming to this Motel6 for years now and as always I am comfortable in every room. Considering that some updating could be done, I won't complain because since it being a pandemic and truckers are always coming in at night to park and sleep, as well as the common folks that come for a night or two, you have to give credit to the staff for putting up with the nonsense that they are given even when they are being polite and doing more than their job requires. Cindy, above all greatest person I've met yet and intelligent as much as a mind reader)) Yesenia - I hope I spelled that correctly - has for the two weeks that I've been here has nothing but the best in consideration to everyone's needs. She always asks if there's anything that would be needed to anyone she has seen staying here for more than 3 days. Dustin, General Manager, is one interesting guy. If you ever see a tall, lean man in a stone washed grey suit fitted to the T, then that's the man that can relate to almost anything brought up into conversation. Now, I am happy to be here for my stay given my circumstances with trying to leave California to get to my newly built house in Louisville, Kentucky. Everyday I am given more to deal with and have to extend my stay. FYI: a 4 day stay gets a better price rate if you really want a better price. I've had a few days extending and on some days it can get up to $74 a night. And I'm happy that I'm taken cared of by the staff when I'm discounted for another night of my stay. It's been pretty expensive for me to stay here but because of the staff and how everyone knows me by name I can't help but to continue coming to this one location on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. And because of the great help and appreciation I get every time, I plan on booking my stays here for when I come back to visit! Oh yeah! The night...
Read moreI checked in later on the 5th, first room that was given had squatters living in there for some time. Unsure of how the staff was unaware. The next room had no issues.
Approximately 2am, I woke to muiltple knocks on the windows. I got out of bed and examined the peep hole and could not see anyone on the other side, but the knocks on the windows continued. I then heard the screen break and the individual then began to attempt to pry the door open.
After scaring off the would-be intruder, I called the front desk and explained what occurred. The lack of empathy or any emotional reaction from the front desk was certainly off putting, but my safety was more of a concern that this point. The employee stated that security would be sent over. After waiting for 20 minutes with no appearance of the security, I packed my things and left for the front desk to check out due to how the nights events occurred. When I voiced my concern and questions regarding the security agent not appearing, the front desk employees response was "well he's on break and I haven't seen him for a while".
At that point I understood that customer service was non-exisitant at this establishment. I understand that the front desk eompoyee can not leave her station and all employees are entitled to breaks but the lack of communication with a customer regarding either a wait or situation update was unacceptable.
This experience and how poorly it was handled, has caused the end of my continued business with Motel 6. Additionally, I have informed my corporate account representative regarding this matter, and they have begun removing our account from the corporate rentals. I am extremely disappointed in...
