I made a reservation 2 weeks ago by phone to Motel 6 where I would use 2 guest certificates (that I received as a B-day Gift and we couldnt use due to Covid). The reservation was made knowingly that we were using certificates and they told me to bring them or they could charge me. We arrived at the Hotel after a long drive and once we were asked for name and reservation, the receptionist informed me she needs to call the manager as she didnt know how to use the certificate. She did call her but the manager stated she needed to be there and didnt want to go and for that reason she should send me to another place. While I was listing to this I told the receptionist that some else should know how to do it as I booked 2 weeks in advance but the receptionist said that Motel 6 were bought and now they are a franchise so things changed since a month ago and that I shouldn't have waited last minute to book as my certificates will expire next week. I got upset and told her that it wasnt her business to tell me when to book (their attitude lead me to get there) and I asked to speak to the manager. She said the manager was off and that she could only send me to one near by. I accepted but there were no rooms available and the other place didn't allow us to use 2 certificates per night. The receptionist called the manager and they decided to canceled my reservation without my approval and left me in the lobby without saying anything to me. A couple of minutes after I asked what I was waiting for, they ignored me. I asked the other receptionist there (a guy who I had not heard speaking) and he ignored me too. I asked him if he spoke English and he said yes, but the manager told them to ignore us and to cancel the reservation, at that time I was informed they canceled. I asked them for their names and manager numbers and they kept ignoring me and it was very frustrating. I asked for my receipt showing the cancelation as they had my credit card and they gave me a receipt showing how much each room cost and it didnt say zero balance so I asked again to give me the corrected receipt as they canceled and it was not my fault but they ignored me. I was at this point super upset and I slid the paper under the window and told them to put in writing that my balance was zero but they said no. I asked for their names and they didnt want to provide their names. After back and forth between them and I, she said her name was Jasmine and the Manager was Tracy. Another employee showed up and he tried to help us until Jasmine said the manager told them to completely ignore us. I asked them 3 times to call the police and they didnt. Finally that worker gave us corporate number and I called them. I was giving them the information of the situation (very nice lady that took our call), she apologized and stated that wasnt their standards and put me on hold for a little. The Manager arrived, without introducing herself and asking us to leave as we were contaminating the space for being there for over 5 mnts(took around 30 mnts for her to show) meanwhile she wasnt wearing a mask. She just said "leave the premises as this is my hotel and you are not welcome". My son asked her to please wear a mask and she said no as she was the owner and got very close to us without respecting the 6 feet rule. I asked my son to call the police as she got so close to me and while I asked her to please give me my space, it was worse, she started coughing in my face and provoked me while the person from coorporation was typing our back and forth conversation. The now "Owner" told their workers that I was a "Stupid person with no education as I didnt know how to read the receipt" so I asked her if she called me ignorant (as I couldn't believe she said stupid) and she said "No I called you stupid" so I asked her to please give me my zero balance receipt and she continued to get closer, screamimg at us to get out of her property. The corporation was listening and they asked us to be safe and offered to contact us and email a...
Read moreMe and my family seem to keep running into problems whenever we visit this particular Motel 6. While the rooms are slightly better than most of the other Motel 6s I've been to, the service is absolutely terrible. In Summer 2014, my father was accused of having dogs scratch up the room's floor. We don't even own any pets. Apparently they got us mixed up with someone. My father tried to tell them this but was simply ignored. Only to get a phone call a little while confirming he was indeed right. During our stay this year, we ran into a particularly vicious employee named Mario. We had booked the place for two days only for this idiot to tell us we hadn't. He simply pushed us aside and didn't try to help a single bit. Luckily another employee (coincidentally also named Mario) came to our rescue and managed to get us a room (despite claims from the Idiot Mario that it was fully booked, which it clearly wasn't). He also lied to us, claiming our room wouldn't be ready until an hour. When we went to check in with the cleaning lady a few minutes later, it was already done. She was already four doors down from us! Then the next day he lies to us AGAIN. After a day outside, we came back to the hotel at around 8:40 or so. Less than five minutes after having walked into our room, we get a call from this guy. According to him, he's gotten several complaints about noise coming from our room. When asked what time the complaints were made, he stated 8:30. So, did he just get a whole bunch of random complaints at 8:30? Because we weren't even at the hotel yet at that point. So I don't really understand how we could've been making noise. He then proceeds to state he doesn't know if the noise is coming from us or not. If he doesn't know where it's coming from, how the hell can he be warning us about it? The damn idiot doesn't even know who it's from! Very clear he's just trying to stir up trouble with us. Before, I end this review, I'd like to list off a few more complaints. First off, the employees should get a better understanding of English. They need to be able to communicate with the customers and doing so is really hard sometime. There's a fee for Wi-Fi. You have to pay 2 or 3 bucks for it every night (and the Wi-Fi isn't even that good, it only allows you one device, is slow, and constantly disconnects). There aren't many channels on the television set and the TV Guide is misleading. It can say it has Nickelodeon all it wants, but that's really Cartoon Network. ALL the bathrooms could use some work. The showers are nice but god, the doors. There aren't any locks on them. Why not? It's a dang bathroom! BATHROOMS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE LOCKS. I mean, come on!
Note: Idiot Mario has a goatee. Helpful Mario goes by Alex (his second name) to...
Read moreChoose this hotel to get no sleep whatsoever ... This is hands down one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Angelica at the front desk, is the worst hotel employee I've ever had to deal with. I am disabled, with a terminal illness, that makes me very sensitive to all kinds of things including noises. The man and little girl staying upstairs above me knows that they are giving me headaches all day and freaking my dogs out with the running back and forth and the constant banging, and when I call to complain they just get louder and start dragging the chair across the room. So I call up to the front desk to tell them that they are purposely making more noise, and she blames me. I hope this place burns down, the people here are disgusting, the staff is rude and disrespectful and uncaring to people's illnesses. She says it's just something people have to deal with downstairs, and I'm sorry that's just something people have to deal with at lousy hotels downstairs, anyone who knows how to build a decent building can tell you that you need reinforced layers in between floors. What a joke this place is. If you want to get peace and quiet, if you want to relax at all, do not come to this hotel. If you want to hear people screaming, hollering, yelling, loud music and TVs, people dragging things across floors because they're immature, pick this hotel. You will get no sleep. **as an update.. I switched to the upgraded room, which costs an arm and a leg, only to deal with more problems. The shower is nasty(I posted pics on Expedia) and the drain is unsafe. I've already hurt my foot on it, the locks on the doors won't let you into your room, this upgraded room is a total joke mostly due to it being right next to the maids lounge. They regularly wake us up at around 8:30am with their outrageous loads cackling and screaming. You can hear EVERYTHING that happens in this hotel whether someone is outside, above you, or next to you...you hear it all! I have such a horrid headache. I believe this hotel should pay me to stay here. Also, the maids are not English speaking...only in America! Also.. the hot and cold indicators for your water are all...
