San Ysidro Village — Local services in San Diego

Only two places I go to in this shopping center are Ross and Marshall's. How magical to have the two within walking distance from each other, right? Well, it is. They also have Carter's and Nine West. Nine West is overpriced. Carter's I have not set foot in for fear I might catch pregnant. All those cute babies and Prego Mommies. Ugh. I stay far away.

The Ross is open till 1am!!! I love that so much. It generally has great stuff also.

This Marshall's, OMG this Marshall's. One of the best. I bought my first pair of True Religion jeans here when they were first becoming popular. They also carry the raddest Nike Jordans. I bought some John Varvatos Chuck's here for $19.99. Their like $100 dollar shoes.

It does get a little dicey around midnight. However, I have NEVER...

Post office is a tiny little storefront, mostly for selling stamps and accepting letters tobe mailed.

I showed up with a humongous box and they recovered quickly: made the arrangements through UPS, quoted me the same price I was able to accurately guess online with their package quote feature.

One unusual thing is they don't take debit or credit cards- it's a cash only operation.

Fortunately there is an ATM right across the parking lot lane.

Tried to eat at Achiote, but they have changed their hours and close way too early now,the original hours posted on the window or wall need to be removed,and the new hours should be listed as it's less confusing to the customer... Update,my wife and I went back,a few days after mother's day fiasco and finally got to eat at Anchiote. The service was great and so was the food, I enjoyed my machaca,and the wife enjoyed her Talapia,she also raved about her cinnamon coffee,which is already sweetened with...
