IHOP — Restaurant in San Diego

We had breakfast here exactly one week ago today. When we were handed the bill, I was a bit shocked. Today we came back to visit because honestly, we really like coming here. The staff is great and the food is delisious

Last weeks visit bothered me so much that when we were handed our bill today, it was nearly 1/2 the price and quite honestly, we ordered a bit more food. This was reason enough to bring attention to.

Today as I was paying our bill, I brought the issue up to the Manager Raul Mendoza. We had a great conversation as he backed the company he worked for but at the same time had my concerns foremost. He could have easily shut me up by buying our breakfast but instead, he went above and beyond.

The man should be promoted and promoted soon. Every manager hides behind customer service as an option but this man knows management. Above this, Raul's IHOP should be a standard for customer service nationwide. The people here are beyond courteous. We'll be coming...

I’m putting 3 stars because the food was good, but GINA my waitress was the worst one we could get!!! She took our order brought it to our table and that was it, she never asked if we needed anything else, she never came back to our table until we asked for the check. She did passes by our table several times and approached a customer who was seating next to our table (which wasn’t her table) and asked if everything was ok, if he was doing good, and even several personal questions, she just didn’t want to serve us!! By other hand HAILEY which wasn’t our waitress was super nice and helpful when we asked for additional things that we needed, she helped us with a smiley and the best attitude posible even when she wasn’t our waitress. I work customer service I know how this works and it’s annoying having people working in this type of business when they clearly aren’t happy doing...

I ordered using curbside pickup on a Saturday morning. I was surprised when I arrived and the parking lot was empty. I called the store and they brought the food out quickly - hence, the two stars. However, the food was not great. All of the food seemed to be undercooked from the bacon to the french toast and the hashbrowns. My daughter's pancake was soggy as if it had been sitting a while - completely opposite of the barely cooked food. The only thing good was the toast. I tried calling to speak with someone and the phone kept ringing and ringing. I was so angry. I paid about $60 for a family of four and it just went in the trash. I will NEVER return to this location again. Which is sad because it's my closest one - but luckily not the only. Take your money...
